  1. Jerry Casales was a HR hitting pitcher. Enjoyed Piersall who looked like a ballplayer, and JJ was a great RF'er. Williams was the best of his era at bat.
  2. It is a record setting team effort. 1 for 29 RISP in a series. Next step achievable soon is sub .400 win %
  3. Keep in mind that it is only the results that look bad. We must respect the process and the data to guide us
  4. MLB pays HR hitters. not single hitting speedsters. Jarren has made a player out if himself and earned a good amount but the Sox , and others, don't want a bigger investment in him as he turns 30 at end of this season
  5. Q. Priester out for thoracic outlet surgery. He was a living timebomb. Good thing they moved on
  6. Did notice that , odd, I think Wong may not have seen the ball early , then got after it slowly. Durban should have broken on it a lot harder, his HR is now meaningless
  7. Heart of the lineup in the 9th cannot make anything happen Swept
  8. See it was too good to be true. Wong whiffs on a windblown foul pop. then a windblown fly to left that banged 3/4s up the wall
  9. W or L, we are getting another inning on Aroldis' contract option. Just over halfway there
  10. Astounding to be in a winnable game at Fenway, down 2 runs, 6 outs to go and have 0 confidence this team can pull it out Rafaela and Wong combine to save the killer run from scoring.
  11. Problem is Duran is pull happy not slashing to left side , impressed by his titanic HR power
  12. Back to back shutouts at home ? 1 run in 27 innings (81 innings) NFWay. 0-32 when trailing by 3 ? Never Say it ain't so, Ted
  13. The performance of the team, allowing for significant injury losses , has been so bad that I daily expect to see the headline Breslow Fired BUT, I believe JH has seriously discounted 2027 as a meaningful season , expecting a long strike. So he will not dump Breslow, hire an experienced manager, sign any FA's of note, but will sell at the deadline for prospects. He will not alter for short term plug-ins. When the new CBA is completed , then moves will start. Be ready for a miserable RS experience for several months. possibly a season .
  14. Timely is an upcoming strong prospect at Greenville in the Mayer mold
  15. And that is why the Mick hits leadoff. Doubles , man. Cedanne bunts him to 3rd. Abreu is not clutch and Gasper can't run so Epperson doesn't send him Sox de-manufactured a run when Contreras K'ed. Unreal
  16. Sox need to start using Aroldis even in losing games to insure that lption for themselves or the trade partner. Yesterdays 3-0 game is an example where AC could have pitched the 9th I definitely think they should cash this chip by the deadline (Aug 3rd ?)
  17. 3 innings of no hit BS as a 9 man lineup flails away. 9 up; 9 out
  18. Gray not at all sharp today. Looking for a sweep very shortly
  19. Amazing that your win record shows less than 25% W's when down 0-1 in the 2nd inning at home.
  20. 3 days in a row for Mick the Stick at leadoff. Even Tracy would not do that on its own. The Sox have a typical 1st inning response to Vladdie's HR. Foul pop out. IF popout, K. Damn, that's weak
