  1. That was a classic opportunity for a good but not great team. The #1 line must be wondering where the games were held.
  2. Just for inclusivity, add Shawaryn after this game. He may be the winner in that dog contest.
  3. That's a keeper, SS. Steven Wright/Wrong may be the hero of the second half out of the pen, then can't pitch in the play-in game. Gotta love irony.
  4. JBJr crosses the Mendoza River in a real big way. Nice work by Price, huh ?
  5. What does it take to put 2 or 3 games back to back in the win column ? Losing ground almost daily on this home stand. Let's go find some Orioles to improve our advanced metrics.
  6. Excellent point. We are actually getting something a little better than the cost. A victory for the FO plan to dance with the ones what won the WS, less the closer and the guy who can't pitch in LA. BTW, it was Joe Kelly bobblehead night for teh Dodgers.
  7. Maybe just get the win for starters. Style points can come later
  8. Thank goodness, Chavis and Betts were told by Cora, Do not move that bat, lol
  9. Who has the winner ?? Mookie, Hah, that's fitting
  10. Actually Max . That was one I didn;tt watch. Still not a Barnes fan
  11. Ok, Vazquez tries to rescue his rep with a double. Now manage the process Alex Cora
  12. Notice the result of starting with the curveball by Barnes. A 2 out walk. Better go back to the Fb and make them earn it.
  13. So Barnes tries the FB and gets his first guy. Don't worry, he'll drop back to the curveball shortly and things will happen.
  14. Holt is no miracle maker, but I believe he is a more disciplined hitter who can work walks or slap singles just over the infield. Nunez jumps at one pitch, and old school PH technique, and ends the possibilities.
  15. Nunez is the usual DOA, but Martinez for all his video study cannot figure out how they are pitching him, and yet it is so consistent.
  16. Over several weeks time, I cannot for my life imagine what JDM is seeing as they spin low outside sliders past his bat, over and over again.
  17. Nunez, Cora's best man, hits for Holt, who is the best man to hit.
  18. JDM gets the Sombrero . He saw 6 pitches, not one of which was in the strike zone box, but he still strikes out.
  19. JD trying for the Golden Sombrero, but he's not Mexican, so I hope h hits it out
  20. Nice throw by Vaz down to first after the Pence strikeout to end the inning
  21. So true. The tying run comes via HBP, sacrifice bunt (what's that ?), terrible error by Vaz, and a flyball. WTF ??
  22. Ahhh, the old 8th inning where Red Sox wins go to die. By the 8th, sometimes 9th, the wad of sunflower seeds dries out and gets caught in the throat of the DC ( Designated Choker) . Tonight Vazquez is up for the award unless Workman has some magic
  23. Missing or taking pitches #2,3 and 5 tells the full story on Mr. Chavis's readiness for the Bigs.
  24. I would like to see Betts going into second base have a non-fatal collision with Rougned Odor and have their neck chains get intertwined and knotted together in such a way only a locksmith could free them. That would be a funny half hour. neither could move without choking the other. On the other hand, for that to happen, Mookie would have to get on base.
  25. 2 out hitting by a .174 hitter, whose name is Odor, not O'door. Rick gave a big effort and in the land of 2 out innings, he would be king. I sincerely hope he gets this win.
