    My trouble with the curve ball reliever is if he had taken the 3-2 pitch, the Sox would have been down 7-6 and be bringing in the next guy to throw. very glad Brandon induced the stupid swing. Like you didn't know it would be a curve. Ok, I'll be quiet, we are almost winning

    i can't say Workman has been anything except effective all season, but reiievers who live and die by the curve ball aren't usually dominant. No wonder He needs a clean inning to allow for the BB

    Helps with the OBP which in turn helps the OPS which in turn helps the 2021 contract negotiations. But much better than an out. Not Mookie's fault, but leaving an opening double from JBJr at second is a real shame in a tie game.

    For all the joking about the relationship between Cora and Nunez, it is actually amazing Alex's reliance on a marginal guy. But look at the whole bench especially with Moreland/pearce out of the picture.

    Agreed. We will need him as the closer later when the pen runs dry in extras. But I hope neither occurs.

    On a personal level, i never advocated releasing him. I think they would need to get some discernable value for him. he was shopped this ST, and no one valued him enough to make a deal. I do think he will be shopped heavily, probably as a package before they pay him $9MM for 2020
