  1. Hembree has the thousand mile stare, and never blinks. Is he a bot, whitewalker or zombie /
  2. Plus the one game "play-ins" in 1948 and 1978
  3. Jackie Bradley leading off the 8th. Watch out Rangers, he's coming on fast.
  4. 2019 MVP must be X man. peter Fairbanks sounds like a mild mannered super hero in a Ranger outfit
  5. My trouble with the curve ball reliever is if he had taken the 3-2 pitch, the Sox would have been down 7-6 and be bringing in the next guy to throw. very glad Brandon induced the stupid swing. Like you didn't know it would be a curve. Ok, I'll be quiet, we are almost winning
  6. This is where Cora is way too much into character building, than winning games.
  7. It honestly shouldn't be this difficult for a reliever to get through the 7th inning when you are a key guy. Brandon is cooked right here.
  8. Mathis was hitting .142, so don't go to sleep yet. Workman is over 20 pitches. Hope he has some magic left
  9. Cannot get a decent call on a FB, once again, Rangers 6-Sox 6-Umpires 10
  10. D, that was a total jam by Workman. But see what follows, that will tell the story on Brandon
  11. Damnable shift on O'Door burns the Sox. Watch Workman's pitch count when it hits 20. Ok, It's only my pet theory .
  12. i can't say Workman has been anything except effective all season, but reiievers who live and die by the curve ball aren't usually dominant. No wonder He needs a clean inning to allow for the BB
  13. Just so you know, i respect and appreciate your work as a moderator on this site. it's often thankless.
  14. Helps with the OBP which in turn helps the OPS which in turn helps the 2021 contract negotiations. But much better than an out. Not Mookie's fault, but leaving an opening double from JBJr at second is a real shame in a tie game.
  15. For all the joking about the relationship between Cora and Nunez, it is actually amazing Alex's reliance on a marginal guy. But look at the whole bench especially with Moreland/pearce out of the picture.
  16. Agreed. We will need him as the closer later when the pen runs dry in extras. But I hope neither occurs.
  17. On a personal level, i never advocated releasing him. I think they would need to get some discernable value for him. he was shopped this ST, and no one valued him enough to make a deal. I do think he will be shopped heavily, probably as a package before they pay him $9MM for 2020
  18. f***ing Chavis is the new JBJr, Jason. Oh, he had a HR too. yea Chavis.
  19. Easy to say when it takes about 70 games to get to .200/.650. Appreciating his current contribution but almost any MLB'er would be at his level now.
  20. A really important test for Chavis to move JBJr to third 9or home). No K, please
  21. Jackie B climbing relentlessly towards the .700 OPS to avoid the wrath of Moon at the trade deadline.
  22. I use it daily to wipe a key spot clean and will do so until that contract expires. It's really getting nasty, but then, so am I
  23. Walden with no third out approach. Look out below. Sticking with my theory---If your reliever gets to 20 pitches, often bad things happen. 2 strikes, 2 outs, we are in deep trouble
