  1. Horseshit Hector looks like Cy Young for 6 consecutive outs. Too bad he wasn't fully prepared for the first guy he threw too.
  2. I told you Hector was coming back. May as well lose it now and regroup tomorrow.
  3. Here's Benintendi's problem or my problem with him. He goes 2 for 6 which sounds good, but 3 K's and soft bouncer with the game on the line. His OPS about .770.
  4. Goddamn JBJr stands around and looks at his s***** bunt instead of running??
  5. Don't be surprised to see Velazquez come back out. He has been a starter and Cora loves redemption for his boys.
  6. The next two outs are powder puff ground balls. F'ing amazing.
  7. Did that ball by Kepler ever land?
  8. Great point. Hector's stats really are bad, but if he saves this, all is forgiven
  9. Hector "Neck Tats" Velasquez. Shades of Manny Del Carmen
  10. It wouldn't hurt for JDM to add one right here.
  11. Mookie Freakin' Betts. Who can pitch the 13th ?
  12. I didn't say bring in Colten, I instructed Colten Brewer to "bring it in", meaning the out pitch, which he eventually did. The man follows direction.
  13. So it's the top of the lineup with a shot at winning this one. Let's see something good, Mookie-Beni-Julio D
  14. Get ready for bed boys, the roof is leaking
  15. The old 2 out walk, then Brewer goes a little wild. bring it in Colten
  16. I checked the box score and wondered about that. If no real reason, then that would qualify as WTF. Now he is a little short of pitching, but is Nunez still free?
  17. All I know is that DD ever acquired Blake Parker, I would after more than a half century, find another team to root for. Please beat this jumble of motion
  18. Which one , SS ? There's always multiple choices, lol
  19. here's the key to this game : betts-Beni-JDM, 2 for 14 with 7 K's and only one walk. beni has both the hits but the other two are causing problems
  20. Went out to dinner for two hours and thought you guys would have won it by now. Hope this is the inning.
  21. Nolonger tied, Beni is + and Mookie is -
  22. Another impressive start by Betts
  23. Mal, sorry to hear about the vision difficulties. Go ahead and post verbally, we'll still hear you coming through
  24. Too bad there is not unlimited re-substitution at catcher, so we could go with the best matchups.
  25. The roster manipulation will be coming to a crescendo relatively soon as Pearce starts his monor league assignment. Barring other injuries , if and when Pearce declares himself ready to go, there is only one likely option---send Marco Hernandez down. Hernandez has acquitted himself ok in a very small sample, but there isn't much of an alternative, unless the Sox go to 12 pitchers. It really becomes a crunch when Mitch Moreland's back into it. That re-addition causes other dominoes to fall, such as Chavis to second base, Holt/Nunez to the bench or vice versa. Eventually Eovaldi will be back which begs the 12 or 13 pitcher choice again. Josh Taylor or Mike Shawaryn (or both) go back to Pawtucket as the musical chairs continue. With Josh or Mike, the decision will not be as difficult as with the position players. Oh, and Heath Hembree will also be back unless there is some actual UCL concerns, which the team should know, but we won't til it pops. Then the trade deadline will become the topic as we ease into July in less than two weeks, and especially if the Sox keep closing ground on the Rays and Yankees. Stay tuned.
