  1. Bloom/Cora showing off that Kike is not hurt, so we can get an Ace in return for him, ok maybe throw in Dalbec.
  2. Scott pitching in messy weather but cannot get a strike so further extends the misery. About 400-420 pitchers in MLB, most of whom have no clue where the ball is going once it leaves their fingers. Having to waste Jansen in a game like this is a shame. Actually is traceable back to Chang's double clutch throw
  3. He was giving it a little shake. Looked like when Chang broke his hamate on a really big swing. Only concerned that Raffy's 2 HRs tonight get him into the mentality of swinging out of his shoes as he is prone to do.
  4. Duran hitting .322/.889 . I was surprised at the low number splits on many of the so-called All-Stars Yoshida .317/.872 , those 2 at the top of the lineup can be a problem for the opposition, followed by Turner .289/.831
  5. Chang Chooses to check out the cheap seats
  6. Bloom's team should get credit for picking up the 31 year old rookie Brennan Bernadino from the Mexican league. Here's wishing he is not a flash in the pan but he has put together some good outings over the past month in late relief and as a starter.
  7. And no walks ! He has the pitch mix and control to be very good.
  8. Plus a minimum 2 weeks to get his bat up to game speed. Virtual lost season.
  9. Sox not hitting at all, 0-3 with RISP. (sarcasm)
  10. Pitchers must watch the misplays in the field and ask, " What game are you guys watching?"
  11. Probably cost a full extra inning needed from the BP..I would run Bello back out and hope he gets the first out quick.
  12. Bellinger definitely should be available to some team over the next 2 weeks. Doesn't really fit the Sox need for a starter on the mound
  13. The backpedaling guy needs to cede way to the incoming outfielder. Dugo should have called for that, maybe was as it dropped.
  14. Duvall is more of a teaser than a keeper , kind of like a stripper.
  15. Definitely the strong safety type
  16. Cubs D reminding me of something
  17. Sure hope that Devers is ready for a big 2nd half. Great start tonight. Glad he didn't waste 4 days going to Seattle
  18. Duran is a gamechanger at this point. But he should watch the video to realize that he was dead on arrival if the 2Bman for the Cubs could catch.
  19. The Final 71 starts tonight. The make or break run for an injury plagued team ( including long term rehabs ) that will validate the FO and any moves made over the next 2 weeks or result in another crash/burn at the tail of the AL East. That nice run , on pitching fumes, just before the break is like Spring again, eternal raising hopes for green grass at Fenway. It is up to the players to perform and get themselves going by playing smart and at the top end of their abilities. I'l guess at a 40-31 run home , just enough to get the WC #3, while the NYY'ers flounder and get a lease on the basement apartment.
  20. The prior 10 year record of Red Sox drafts shows a 14% rate of drafted players who reached MLB (48/345). It puts the Sox in the lower mid-third range of teams over that time.
  21. Good things come to those who wait.
  22. In a complete shocker, I will say that Corey Kluber will undergo a major progression in August and September to become again a consistent winner surprising the Sox and himself. Look for it to happen.
  23. And I cannot count the times I was criticized for disliking Matt Barnes consistently since about 2019, even if he was pitching well for a brief half season. With rare exception he was an intellectually challenged, gutless loser who get rewarded and then fell apart helping to make my point. He could not throw strikes when it counted and was Mr. Wild Pitch on his overthrown curve balls, looking goofy in the act . His gross tendency to fall off to his left side during throwing, left his arm dragging behind eliminating all possibilities of a good pitch or fielding his position on a bouncer back to the mound. Hope he saved some of his $10M contract because he will need it in his later years. I'm thankful to have seen through this fraud from the beginning.
  24. You need the others to trade for the needs you actually do have, like a right hand power bat below the age of 30 .
