    Score 7-8 runs to make it interesting. A farewell wave to Ryan Brasier who took heaps of abuse from this website but went out there every time Cora called him and tried really hard, just inconsistent in effectiveness. Arenado's bases loaded , excuse me soft single to CF , was the epitome of bad luck. Nolan had to reach well in front of the plate to get that pitch. Ryan will probably catch on with the Angels

    Whatever else he does, Cora does have the job of waking up these sleepwalkers before the Seattle series .

    Bosox11's comment about the Red Sox team being "absolutely listless" tonight comes very close to describing the mid to late innings efforts . Part of that is blowing 2 losses then watching your BP give up 5 runs in another losing effort.

    The Beantown Boppers are playing like they did in the early weeks of the season . No real hitting, errors and Cora managing his BP with extremely bad luck.

    In a game that you are inclined to feel is in good hands and a virtual win, think again about 6 outs to go. Sale needs to shutdown the 8th , ending with about 100+ pitches and one of the BP geniuses ( less the alleged best 2) needs to come in for #9

    As much as I rag on Kike, I think you are right ( now), but to me the real question actually is Arroyo . Mondesi, Chang, now Reyes, who do you keep. It is almost hypothetical and esoteric because of the 4 only Reyes can actually be playing the game right now. Pops Hernandez reclaims his crown

    It would appear that Chris "Freakin'" Sale is back , and Paxton has teased us now with his potential, Kluber is getting better (?) and there are 3-4 other guys ( Bello, Houck, Whitlock , Crawford) to work through . If the first 3 can rack up 160-180 innings and the last 2 or 3 get 120+ each then the starting rotation can be competitive , keeping the Sox in the playoff mix.

    Are Ball/Strike calls objective or subjective ? If robot/radar comes into use it will be objective facts . The jabroney currently working behind the plate is totally subjective.
