  1. But also Roger Maris, but I didn't want to hurt your head
  2. Geiger reminds me of Carroll Hardy who not only PH for _____________ but also for _____________.
  3. Stealing 3rd on a LH'er is like taking a cookie from a small kid and eating it in front of him. Pull Sherriff.
  4. Sherriff is about to get lit up, this needs to be his last batter. True relievers do not do well beyond 20 pitches. He's at 27 pitches and failing
  5. Steal 3rd with no outs in 1-1 game? Nice move
  6. Maybe Tapia takes a hike as he turns into the 5th Of'er, perhaps DFA'ed to see if anybody would trade for him. At this point I think Duran , going on 27 in Sept, needs to make or break . Going back to AAA doesn't much help him nor the team. I also guess that Duran could be available at the trade deadline, like a few others on the 40 man. Not advocating it, however. I hope he continues to improve
  7. That would help a lot with some of the clutter. Who does pay for this site presence on the i'net?
  8. Hah, too true, good catch as Yoshi says to Duran
  9. I was having to do some outside work for awhile. We have about 5 acres of dry grass that needs mowing to reduce fire exposure. I tend to agree with your hitter assessment
  10. 42, no player can wear it on any team
  11. In his defense, it was Kike's day off, or was it his off day ? He did get a hit, and when he goes 1 for 4, it improves his average and OPS.
  12. In Bloom's defense, he did not try to deal with the Nationals to get Strasburg on a cheap deal assuming he could recover from his infirmities. Way to check your swing, Chaim
  13. I do think he gets the majority of the season( 120+- GAMES/450+-PA's) to see if he can hit acceptably. That could be .250 with .700 OPS and .350 OBP. If Casas does that from June 1-Sept 30, he will stay at 1B R-L platooning with Turner . If Tristan can do that and since Turner is on a 2 year deal, Bloom will pronounce 1B solved for 2024.
  14. That was a great win and generally excellent pitching , ex Whit's 2nd, . The hitters are still somewhat inexplicable, dead for so many innings, then a total binge. Guess it keeps us watching
  15. 50 years of HoF left fielders and big time hitters
  16. Yoshida's OBP is near .400 . He is working out as planned in a 1/3rd of his first season in MLB
  17. Left field in Fenway will make player out of a slow OF'er. Williams, Yaz, Rice, Manny, etc . couldn't run real well but made a living out there. Carl Crawford was probably the only LF'er that could run.....right out of town
  18. I k now it has been discussed on this board a little , and the thinking is it might still be premature to extend Dugo. My question is who do they have coming behind him that would replace him ? I realize they still have another year of control, but I have come to think he is a keeper. Like Duran, seems to have improved his overall professionalism considerably.
  19. Winck gives up 3 hits , a run, and a line drive shot that would have scored 2 more. Yoshi made a play on it fortunately
  20. Cora tricked me by holding Corey to 1 inning. Winck is now the man
  21. 3 run lead with 9 outs to go, Kluber pitching. Sure hope he gets 6 with 0 runs allowed, so Jansen can finish it. Win the game you're in now
  22. Will Duran make 2/3rds of the innings outs? I say no !! Called it, and correctly so !
  23. Devers, the consummate .249/sub.800 OPS hitter . OK, that was frustrated sarcasm.
