    Deny it now. Bloom is riding the surf of some guys who dogged it in ST and first 20 games who have suddenly come alive and playing lights out. The one guy he paid off big time is in a slump. In a more serious tone, i think Cora actually got in the head of a few guys like Duran and Verdugo , and worked on Yoshida's swing to turn the lower end of the order around. Remember that about 2 weeks ago we were starting lineups with 5 guys hitting below .200 . Casas is the next one for a checkup in the office.

    I see that Boston has scored 7 or 8 runs 5 times in our last 7 games, most since Splinter started the game thread. Splendid , what is it that stops you at 8 ? #9, the GOAT of the Red Sox , wants 9 runs. Don't stop now.

    Pitching in Worcester tomorrow to se if he can duplicate his prior good outing . If so it will be musical chairs in Boston. Someone will need to go down. Bello could easily be the one since he will be between starts and may need his index finger nail to heal a bit.

    He's reminding me of Dalbec with the one night a week/month where he shows his stuff, then cannot get anyone home from 2nd/3rd with 1 out 90% of the time

    Devers saw his OPS was below .800, and noticed Duran, Yoshida, and Valdez ( lol) out stroking him so he decided to come awake

    The combo of Wong/McGuire is looking more exciting every day. McGuire is a skilled hitter and Wong is now finding his stroke.

    Wasn't he struggling in 2022 last 50+- games as his hip/back gave him problems. His explosive start this year may have been his highlight , if his hard swing and body type work against him over the next decade.

    I have noticed on live Angel broadcasts out here that the announcers, Terry Smith ( worse than anyone in Boston) and Mark Langston cannot get their notes read into the broadcast because the pitch/play is happening too quickly. That is a good thing

    Congrats to Spendid Splinter for getting the Sox rolling on their first legit winn streak of 5 or more. Today's game is just as urgent since it will vault us past the Blue Jays, and all their second generation MLB'ers living off Daddy's rep. Get us to 6, SS
