  1. " Get your K's and LOB's in early folks. Get'em while they last" Our players are not being productive.
  2. Wong showing a novel concept---put the ball in play and good things may happen.
  3. Abreu , the trade prospect to some, is carrying the load so far.
  4. Looks like Raffy needs an eye exam swinging at crap and missing layups in the zone..
  5. I bitch about Devers so much I thought I would give his many fans a break and credit him with something, anything, especially since Duran could not do that simple thing.
  6. One more continuing trend: Wong chases breaking balls ( curve/slider) low and away until he K's. He will never be a significant bat until he learns to recognize the spin. Never understood why catchers have a hard time recognizing spin or the ball coming out of the pitcher's hand.
  7. Fitts continues to be efficient with 29 pitches through 3 giving him a decent shot at 6 innings. The man needs some run support now.
  8. At least he advanced Rafaela to 3rd, a productive out (?), unlike Duran and Bregman who missed the opportunity to get a run.
  9. Fitts works his way out of a potential bad inning , only giving up 1 run on a sac fly. A few continuing trends from "24 A. Sox do not score early, leaving men on base. B. They play from behind, making the comebacks more exciting C. Pitchers have trouble closing the door with 2 outs and men on base. In this game Fitts got it done
  10. Economical 1st inning , only 7 pitches, for Fitts . May bode well for a double shutout .
  11. I know it is still early. Games in March and April don't really count , but Devers and Casas, despite his one hit, are not ready for primetime. Story and Bregman close by. 10 LOB's and 11 K's continues the hitting futility . Campbell and Abreu the 2 bright spots in the lineup. I think tomorrow, they will score 9 and get a split in TX.
  12. The pitcher's best friend a DP with a rally brewing. Sox needs score(s) in the 9th
  13. May be a slipping memory but LOB(steres) were a problem last year and are showing up early this year. Abreu's key HR in Game#1 was the only exception in a small sample.
  14. Story , on the other hand may become another Bloom-bust
  15. Campbell could be the breakthrough player that does validate the Red Sox MiLB system for rapidly developing position talent. I see Casas was motivated by my comment .
  16. You can't spell clueless without the C in Casas. But he is a known late starter like RD. Can't wait for June to get here.
  17. Yeah, that would be a .500 team, sort of like 2024, but better than '22/'23.
  18. Sox still in contention for an undefeated season.. Be sweet to take 3 of 4 in TX to get it rolling.
  19. Bochy will never work in this business again. Catastrophic error
  20. Just close it out now for the first win. Way too many K's on offense. Cut the Abreu trade talk .
  21. yes, because Bregman will get his "Cora" rest days, Devers needs to keep his glove and head still in the game, they will need to get Yoshida some AB's other than PH's . I am sure an injury or two will come about to cause some shuffling. Unless it is a major injury , I do not think the Sox will be in a rush to bring Mayer up and bounce him back and forth to WooSox. There is also the possibility that Dever's shoulders become chronic issues or that Bregman does not hit for OPS or with power.
