    I want Lindor, I want Lindor under the notion that he's going to move to 2B at some point. Perferably when Arias comes up.

    Only thing I don't like about Neto is his defense. I suppose you could move him to 2nd/3rd and move up Arias to SS. Maybe not this year but certainly going forward in 2027 they can do that. He has the arm for 3rd, but the way Durbin has looked lately makes me think we have our 3rd baseman of the future now.

    BTV ACcepts Mayer/Eyanson/Harold Rivas for one Zach Neto. Angels are getting $6 million surplus value from that trade, not sure if that's enough but it would certainly be close. I'd make that deal.

    Witt has a surpluss value of $230 million, while Neto has surplus value of 60.1 million Witt's seems a little high, but he would still take a king ransom almost entirely not worth it. Neto may be more realistic and he offers multiple years of control.

    He still has about 6 years of team control before he has an opt out.

    I predict, no matter what Breslow does at the deadline 50% of people are going to complain about it.

    Who is there to sign? free agency gets worse every year and there's very little going on the market in years to come. Lindor is not Story, and before this year he's been nothing but healthy and not only has he stayed on the field banged up but now that he's recovered he's been swinging a hot bat the past 3-4 weeks. You're also trading maybe one top prospect for him, as opposed to 3-4 if you wanted a younger guy.

    I would be fine with Seth Lugo, I don't need a big name on the pitching side....just an innings eater. I'd save all the chips for offense.

    I very much disagree. The pitching has been absolutely amazing this year, but it's also been decimated. The guys you have left pitching great are going to go way over their pitching limits. All of this is for nothing if we get to the post season and Tolle/Early/Bennett are useless. There's also no gurantee you get Crochet back before the playoffs. these pitchers take 4-6 weeks to ramp up in spring training and he's nowhere near even starting a rehab assignment. We really need to start thinking about him not coming back this year. JB is at 99 innings, his career high is 75 PT is at 105 innings.....this is his career high. You have two months left in the season and will need innings in the playoffs. You still have Early/Suarez on the IL and have no ideal when Crochet will be back if this year at all. This team needs a starter. It doesn't have to be anyone good but they need a starter who can give them innings.

    Is it really so bad if there's a pitcher we don't know what to do with? I'm failing to understand how this is an issue seeing how we are already on our what is it? 10th man, 11th man? people can be traded or moved to the bullpen.

    That's 30 million for ONE year, and it's not even 30 million because its pro-rated to only 36% of the salary today. So if that trade was made today they're adding only about $10 million in Salary. They might look to shed some money to get below that third threshold, but they'd only need to dump 1-2 million

    Yeah they probably want one of Early/Tolle plus Eyanson and another prospect. BTV does accept it as fair value with Colorado getting about $10 surplus value from it.

    No he goes back into the rotation when he's healthy, which may be very soon? I think the Sox should seriously consider going to a 6 man given the innings high for Tolle and Bennet

    Witt is probably the most untradeable guy in baseball. Ok maybe not, but he's up there. Teams like the Royals consider trading guys like that when they don't have team control and they know they can't resign them. Witt has one of the highest surplus value in the bigs. Here's a trade I worked out in BTV rated as fair value, which typically teams need to add surplus value in prospect for big league palyers. So if you think this is too much....remember that. Red Sox get Bobby Witt Jr, Seth Lugo, taking on roughly 25 million in Salary for Lugo Royals get: Franklin Arias, Payton Tolle, Marcelo Mayer, Anthony Eyanson, Enndy Azocar, Justin Gonzales

    First trade: Mets get: Marcelo Mayer, Kyson Witherspoon Sox get: Francisco Lindor, Freddy Peralta, $50 million dollars. We plug up the infield and improve the offense, Peralta adds much needed depth to the rotation. If the Mets would take back Trevor Story instead of adding $50 million I'd consider that as well. Second trade: Rockies get: Anthony Eyanson, Marcus Phillips, Connor Wong Red Sox get: Hunter Goodman. Third trade: There is no third trade, I'm bringing up Frankling Arias additions: Francisco Lindor, Freddy Peralta, Hunter Goodman, Franklin Arias Lineup: Masataka Yoshida - DH Francisco Lindor - SS/2B Wilson Contreras - 1B Hunter Goodman - C Wilyer Abreu - RF Caleb Durbin - 3B Ceddane Rafaela -CF Jarren Duran - LF Franklin Arias - 2B/SS Rotation: Sonny Gray/Payton Tolle/Freddy Peralta/Jake Bennet/Opener then Bello)

    Lindor is playing hurt, which is probably stupid, but assuming his medicals are fine I'd expect him to be 100% next year. He didn't go from GG to horrible in one year. Lindor might also be available, where's Marte might not be. Lindor at 5/100 might be very good. he only really needs to be a 2.5 WAR player for that contract to be worth it

    He's owed less, but you can have the Mets pay down Lindors contract. Lindor is also allegedly on the market right now where the Nationals are two games out of a wild card so I don't think Marte is on the market. I think Lindor for 5/100 would be really good. I'd love me some Marte too if the Nationals become sellers.

    Don't ever eat the words......people are quick to jump on board to hate a trade but Durbin is a perfect, perfect example that they're judged best over time. There's still time for that trade to swing either way.

    Despite his level of play this year, I think Lindor is going to bounce back and be well worth it, even if he's declining. He's obviusly playing thru something this year. This guy was just a 6.3 WAR guy last year. And I don't want to see anyone here quote is age if you were for bringing in Ketel Marte this past offseason who is literally 2 days OLDER than Lindor. Unfortunately I don't remember who that was so we will have to go on the honor system here.

    If Lindor comes back healthy and is 1/2 as good as he's been he will be worth every dollar

    Well then the Mets wouldn't get back a prospect, and that's what they're going to want. They're kicking the money in to get a return. BTV Accepts Marcelo Mayer to NY for Lindor and 55 million dollars. But if you Lindors contract paid down, them to take Story, and make a deal that appeals to NY desire for prospects then a deal looks like: BTV Also Accepts Marcelo Myaer Anthony Eyanson, Kyson Witherspoon and Trevor Story for Francisco Lindor and 55 million dolalrs. Id' take the first one.

    After the Mets pay down his contract tract you’re likely paying Lindor a lot less AAV than Story.
