  1. Arias is knocking on the door now, I think if he’s. It in the majors be early 2027 (if not a September call up this year) something horribly went wrong. If Arias goes to short I’m sliding Lindor over to 2nd
  2. Better off with Story? Yeah…..I don’t think so. Odds are we are paying Story to rehab again next year
  3. The Mets are notorious for eating money to bring back a return. I think you can get them to heavily subsidize his contract. BTV Accepts Marcelo Mayer and Marcus Phillips for Francisco Lindor with the Mets sending $60 million of his 162million dollar contract. I believe Lindor is plagued by injury this year and will be better either going down the stretch or from 27-30. I think he'd easily be worth $20 million a year and he can play next to Franklin Arias the next several years.
  4. Francisco Lindor would be the perfect double play partner for Franklin Arias in 2027.
  5. I don't like the rainout, you almost don't want to stop playing when you're this hot. It's going to really start to feel like a special season if they come back today and tie the record at 15.
  6. The major acquisitions are the pieces we didn't sell off. 🥴
  7. How bout them Patriots bro....training camp set to being.
  8. I remember the Red Sox had a 12 game winning streak in 1995, I was 13 years old and my uncle who was a massive Yankees fan took me to see game 13. the Sox lost that game. I felt like a curse.
  9. Buhm buhm da da da buhm buh da da da. the thing I love the most about living in CT is now I can sing this to a bunch of Yankee fans tomorrow
  10. Give. How are infield is a combination of aging and/or injury prone, it makes very little sense to trade our #1 prospect who is a SS
  11. Well you’d like to get Duran going, he’s done a heck more in his career than Jones has and he certainly has better defense. Even at his worse he’s better against RHP than Jones. the team is pretty banged up, if they weren’t Duran might be seeing more time on the bench
  12. At 50 IP Bennett should be graduated from most of the prospect lists
  13. Officially a game above .500 and in sole possession of a wildcard spot.
  14. I a proponent of developing young players and bringing them up to be a part of your core. im also a proponent of trading away those guys you develop to bring in talent to be a part of your core. im also a supporter of signing free agents who can contribute and help your team win. i think a good winning strategy is to do all 3. You can’t win in today’s game by just employing one of those, and you certainly can’t sustain any type of success.
  15. If you’re trading a MLB pitcher with multiple years of control you’re getting back a hitter with multiple years of control. That was the frame of comment.
  16. It takes two to tango, unless you want to grossly overpay I don’t think you’re trading for a premium player for at least another week.
  17. Well there trade value is much higher, you’d get a premium bat with multiple years of control for one of those guys, but if you want to trade for a premium bat with prospects you’re likely trading two from Eyanson/Witherspoon/Arias plus. you trade from your strengths to fill in your weaknesses. I’m not for trading away any of those guys but if you could tell me we could have the hitting equivalent of one of them coming back then I’d certainly consider it. I think of it like this, on this team would you trade a 4 WAR pitcher for a 4 war hitter? I don’t think that’s roster malpractice, I think that’s balancing the team out to be more competitive
  18. So top quality young pitchers doesn’t include prospects.
  19. Well, how else do you bring hitting in at the deadline?
  20. Those guys won’t move until closer to the deadline, no deadline deals have happened right now. nones had an OPS vs LHP above .900 last year. He was DFA,d so the Sox traded for him because likely someone else would have if they did not. if this team is in a position to buy, he’s not your trade deadline move Breslow will make
  21. I’m loving what they did in this draft. you can’t go by pipelines rankings. That’s one list, BA, PG, ESPN, MLB all have vastly different boards. After the top 15-25 picks those boards start to vary greatly. then every team has different boards too. One team could be ranking a guy top 40 while another team might not have them at all. Sox took the 8th lowest bonus and stretched that money out to get a lot more bang for their buck and sign a lot of guys providing the system with ceiling. And they pivoted back to hitting after improving the systems pitching. of course this all means nothing if no one pans out but at first glance bravo,
  22. I don't think your, or my own experience is a relevant sample size. People are dicks, people get fired for insubordination all the time. Don't take this the wrong way, because this isn't meant to directly attack you but rather it's a general sense I get about everyone who blames Breslow for this. But it feels to me like people just don't like Breslow for a whole host of reasons and therefore it's easy for them to just blame Breslow here too. There's plenty of reasons to justly critisize him, but I think it was Cora's job, not just as manager, but as someone who could have done it in his native language and had an easier conversation to follow. Cora was the one who told the media Devers was "his 3B" while openly campaigning to bring Alex Bregman into town who was his boy. So he caused this mess. Raffy also had some choice comments about playing the outfield that sounded very rude in the midst of his teammate sustaining a seasons ending injury. He's not a team player. They are all to blame, but to me the order goes 1. Devers 2. Cora 3. Breslow
