    Absolutely. Even with our OF talent, signing Harper would make him our best outfielder. And the goal is to improve the roster and let the rest work itself out.

    I think girardi will be back. As egregiously bad as his game 2 was, he was still one of the better managers in baseball this year.

    Can't think about game 2 anymore. Who knows, if the series was tied 1-1 and our backs weren't against the wall, maybe Tanaka doesn't pitch with the same urgency as yesterday and there's a different outcome. In either case, game 4 is being played at home with our best pitcher on the mound. Everything is still in front of the Yanks, just have to play to their potential.

    Girardi deserves all the blame that he's received but it's also the job of the ump to get the call right on the field. He gets it right to begin with and nobody is having this discussion. Oh well.....

    I love the Yanks but sometimes I need to take a step back. Getting so emotionally invested in a game you have no control over is a sure way to go insane.

    Went out on a date instead of watching the game. Blew $250 and didn't get any. But after reading jacko's ongoing obituary I think I made the right call.

    Arizona beat up on the Dodgers in their last series or two. I would probably bet money on the Dbacks beating the Dodgers in the ALDS

    This game is both exciting and nauseating to think about. If anything, it's meant as entertainment for everyone but the fans of the two teams playing.

    Despite Tanaka's inconsistency, I don't see how he's not part of the rotation mix should we advance. I will be surprised if the rotation order is not Severino, Gray, Tanaka, CC (Sevy pitching WC game would mean Gray pitches game 1). I think Monty doesn't make the 25 since they will likely opt for Garcia as the long man out of the bullpen (Yanks always go with the veteran). And they'll probably use the vacant 5th SP spot for a pinch runner, my guess is Wade.

    Pretty awesome seasons for both. If you had envisioned best case senarios for both Judge and Severino heading into this season, you wouldn't have even dreamed of the seasons that they have put up. It's exciting to see all of these pieces start to come together (Sanchez, Bird, Didi, Montgomery, Hicks, C Frazier).

    Jonathan Loaisiga is a pretty interesting prospect. (He) features a potentially plus fastball-curveball combination with the ability to throw either pitch for strikes in any count. The fastball consistently hovers around 95 (t97) with late movement … expect him to start shooting up prospect lists. He originally signed with the Giants out of Nicaragua back in 2013, but they released him a year later after some injury issues. The Yankees picked him up, he blew out his elbow and needed Tommy John surgery last year, and came back looking good this year. Loaisiga turns 23 in November, and he’s listed at 5-foot-11 and 165 lbs., plus he has an injury history, so there are some things working against him. Still, the Yankees picked him up off the scrap heap, and now he’s being written up as a breakout prospect.
