  1. Do we sign Dustin May? He's only making $2.135M. Only 27.
  2. 100 1/3 innings pitched for Giolito. Probably 8 more starts to go. He needs to pitch couple of 7/8 inning starts. I never thought it would be tough to get up to 140 innings for a starter.
  3. I wouldn't sleep on Narvaez either. It won't cost us much because he's a cather. I think he's a keeper and eventually he'll become a good hitter. I can see him at 1B and at DH to take off some wear and tear.
  4. Moon, how do you see 1B panning out in 2026? Right now, I'd love the idea of Garcia playing 1B if we are keeping all of our OF. I don not want Garcia in any trade. He's a keeper. Or do we roll the dice and trade Abreu and plug Garcia in the outfield mix? I just don't believe Casas will be ready at the start of 2026 and quite frankly I don't know what we'll get. He's just slow and really doesn't fit the team going forward. CC Narvaez 1B Garcia 2B Mayer SS Trevor 3B Bregman-50/50 LF Duran/Anthony CF Duran/Rafaela RF Abreu/Anthony DH TBD (I just don't like Yoshida) If Bregman leaves, I can see JH going cheap and perhaps play Mayer at 3B and plug in Rafaela at 2B (Cora keeps saying Rafaela is the best CF but we simply have plethora of outfielders, including now Garcia in the mix for 2026) We can keep our three amigos in the OF (Anthony, Duran, Abreu) and still have Garcia learning to play 1B. Then the Bregman money can be used to shore up our starting rotation. I think we're in a good position going forward.....If Bregman signs a long term deal, I want that, we won't have to worry about left side of the infield defense and we'll have plenty of pop offensively. Sure would be nice to get a rookie to step in and capture the #5 spot in the rotation. Bello, Crawford, Criswell, Crochet, Dobbins, Fitts, Giolito (?), Harrison, Houck, Perales, Sandoval, then Tolle, Witherspoon, Early, and Sandlin. We have enough guys for 5 spots if everyone is healthy.
  5. Nice homer by Anthony. Unbelievable how far he can hit. Obviously his exit velocity is one of the best. And the 4 walks. Not shabby for a 21 year old.
  6. I pretty much expected this from you..."Baloney" you said. Who said anything about doing it Today....I just wished you put me on ignore...... Are you that tone deaf that you think I'm the only one on this planet smart enough to say it? I heard it from countless former players in print and on the air.
  7. I like seeing Anthony getting more lift at bats. For those of you telling me don't fix it if its not broken....well I gotta news for you. The entire organization will want Anthony to tweak his approach a bit. It would be a waste of talent to have him hit 20 home runs (by the way he's nowhere close to that).
  8. Why do I want to watch this crap.....glad I missed Bello throwing over 100+ pitches and not getting past inning 6. Cease with 77 pitches over 6 innings. A professional. Murphy sucks. Walks #8 hitter in the lineup. Pitched to him like he was a Hall of Famer. Bunch of wussies today.......time to put on boxers instead of panties.
  9. My point was there were possibilities of Sandoval pitching in September. All I hear now is cricket. He is not even listed on "injury update". Yeah, I know everyone has injuries.
  10. And no update on Sandoval.....ugh. I thought he maybe returning in September? Basically we are paying him $18M to pitch in 2026.
  11. I'd like for Hendricks to take as much time as he needs.....maybe next year.
  12. I'd give 25% odds for this one.....Ryan would still look in this spot even without Abreu, who apparently is just a platoon player for foreseeable future.
  13. If you truly think Abreu is a permanent platoon player, then we were an idiot for not packaging to the Minnesota for Joe Ryan.
  14. Just get rid of him.....I just don't want to see the most unathletic guy in the major league baseball. He is 12-54 this year.
  15. With everything from the lower box seats to the grandstands to the back row of the bleachers to most of the standing room areas occupied, manager Alex Cora’s team improved to 16-2 at home since June 30, and 23-5 since June 4. Well that explains it.....
  16. We are now tied for second place with the Mets for winning home record, +18 games. Toronto leads the majors with +19 home game winning record. What a turn around.....fans are having fun again. And that's a big deal.
  17. I do want to thank the White Sox for taking care of Crochet. Starting July 6, 2024, in 12 starts, he never pitched more than 4 innings. Last year in 32 starts, he exceeded 100 pitches only twice. This year he already has 12 games with 100 or more pitches. I like it that he has not pitched since July 26th. He should be somewhat rested.
  18. Our closest wildcard competitor is Texas, right now 4 games behind us. They have 2 more versus the Yankees and then the Phillies. We do go to San Diego but we have a chance to put some distance between us with Crochet going tonight.
  19. I am pretty sure Matz replaced Bernardino. Alcala was not in the equation.
  20. Not sure who to root for tonight between the Yanks and the Rangers. I want the Sox to distance themselves from the Rangers but you know, I like to kick the Yanks when they are down.
  21. 60 pitches after 3 innings. I've never met Bello or Williams. I doubt they give a damn in what I have to say.
  22. I'm not going to go nuts over this but Bello just is not efficient. He had 7 pitches after 2 outs in the first. He then goes ahead 0-2, which turns into a 9/10 pitch. His pitch count is 35 after 2 innings. Not horrendous but I wished he'd focus and do something about closing out the hitters. He's no Crochet.
  23. Giolito is only 30 at year end. That 140 innings is going to be close. He only needs 44 1/3 innings. He'll get at least 9 more starts, maybe 10. I want to see him back.
  24. that can't be right....MLB season is 187 days. He needs to be on the active or injured list for 172 day. His first at bat was on May 24th. The season had already elapsed 30+days. He was not going to lose anything unless he won the Rookie of the Year or top 3 in MVP (that one I am guessing). You maybe getting confused with 'his rookie season was official with 3 more bats". He'll be considered a rookie again next year.
