  1. I just got in. If anyone needs an opener, it's Bello. He sucks in the first inning.
  2. wow, I was looking in wrong places. I didn't see him in prospect list. Good to know. Roman and Teel with 8 HR in 250+ at bats. I guess small sacrifice still for getting and extending Crochet, 6 more years starting in 2026.
  3. Cora should sit down Duran. I rather save him for pinch hitting when the righties come in......he can't hit lefties.
  4. Stating the obvious, pitching, defense and base running is more important than offense in a short series. The season record goes out the window if you have a true ace that's better than opposition's ace. Crochet, Chapman and look how we extended a single into the winning run with Judge not being able to throw over 80 mph from right center. Good job by Cora too. Definitely playing to win today, tomorrow. Joe Ryan, Joe Ryan Joe Ryan.
  5. I'm sitting here thinking Giolito injury may be beneficial. We can decline the mutual option and move on from his injury prone right arm. Quit chasing injured arms. I rather watch Early pitch.
  6. Do the hitters really need a break today? I'd want to play and hit.
  7. I just don't want to face the Yankees because of the stadium......short right field porch hurts us more I think. It's better for Crochet to pitch in a big ball park.
  8. Looking ahead to young potential starters for 2026 23 Tolle 11/11/2002 24 Early 4/3/2002 25 Harrison 8/12/2001 26 Fitts 12/17/1999 27 Crochet 6/21/1999 27 Bello 5/17/1999 27 Dobbins 8/30/1999 What the hell has happened to Sandlin? Will he be ready to pitch on 4/1/2026? Whatever became of all the talk about possible September return? All the sudden he has completely disappeared. Just gives us the fact. Not some rosy predictions. Will Kutter be ready on 4/1/2026?
  9. We seriously need to consider Romy Gonzalez as a regular next year and not as a platoon player. The guy is athletic, has power and can hit for average against both sides.
  10. for me, Apple ESPN White Sox games, Cubs games, Reds games I end up spending $30+ to go watch a game at a local pub.
  11. I don't really care if stays or goes....I don't think of him as 'special'.
  12. Seattle already up 7-0 on Houston. If Houston loses, they will be in tie with Indians for 3rd wild card spot.
  13. Can Yoshida throw? Hell he has to get to the ball first.
  14. With automatic runner on second on top of the 10th, why in the hell would you pitch to Judge? He was eventually walked but why take the chance? Am I dumb?
  15. One of the best seasons ever for me because of Bres bringing up youngsters to play in the big leagues. Early makes his third start tonight. Harrison made his first start yesterday. Tolle has been relegated to the pen but he made three starts. Hunter Dobbins had started eleven times. Not a rookie, but Fitts started ten times. It would please me if Bello gets relegated to #6 status because of these young guns. It just means we've upgraded our starting rotation. Bello needs an opener.
  16. And Detroit finishes with 3 at Cleveland and 3 at Fenway. It's going to get interesting.
  17. I wonder why the geniuses Cora and the pitching staff has not consider using an Opener for Bello. I mean what do we have to lose? His worst inning is inning #1. What the hell difference does it make if the first reliever pitches the first inning or the fourth after Bello has thrown 92 pitches?
  18. Well it can't get much higher than $40M we are paying Bregman.
  19. Let Bregman walk....focus on getting Schwarber. Get a guy with a real pop.
