  1. As it turns out, signing Betts would have benefitted the Sox MORE than signing/extending Xander, Devers, Yoshida and Story. I would have preferred building the team around Betts. That's why it was critical to extend Crochet. I also believe Bello will get to #2/#3 type. Rafaela is very affordable even if we miss, we have enough young pieces to cover for him we made a mistake.
  2. In April, Justin Slaten has pitched 7 times, 7 innings and given up one hit, no walks. Looks like our closer to me.
  3. 7 innings, 100 pitches, 1 run given up....good game by Buehler
  4. That's 3 straight decent outing by Walker Buehler after 2 shaky starts. As long as he can give us 90 pitches per start, I'm good with him.
  5. Stay healthy.......anything positive offensively is a plus.
  6. Let's not freak around today......got to pitch Whitlock 2 innings and Chapman to close.
  7. Refsnyder just needs to be in the line up. Mr. Cora....sometimes you have to screw the righty - lefty thing. Right handed batters are used to facing right handed pitchers. Lot more than lefty facing lefty pitchers.
  8. Don't we already have extra year's control? He needs 172 days.......12+31+30+31+31+30=165 days left in the season at most.......what do you know that I don't
  9. Rafaela extension was a good, calculated move. Really not much downside. He will always be an elite center fielder. I believe something will click offensively at some point. I am good with Dever's contract. He will always hit and now we don't have to worry about his defense. We have 4 years of team control left for Casas. Way, way too early to give up on the guy. He has enormous upside. I'm happy with Breslow.
  10. Substitute Anthony for Rafaela and this should be our strongest offensive lineup. Casas has to work his way out of his slow start. Same goes for Duran.
  11. Laugh all you want. This team needs to be engaged at all times. Win today and tomorrow means as much as ones in September. We have a seven game home stand and it's time we exert some control over weaker teams, which we have a four game set with.
  12. We need 3 out of 4 at least.
  13. 65 pitches over 5 innings. We don't need to save him. Let him pitch as long as he can go.
  14. Ok I jinxed him....we might as walk every former Red Sox guys on this White Sox team.
  15. Is it too early for NO HITTER WATCH on Mr. Dobbins? (3 innings)
  16. Benintendi is the only White Sox player with contract for 2026 (and he has one for 2027). One day at a time for these guys.
  17. Maybe we should keep Gonzalez in the lineup until he starts slumping.
  18. Story now up to .820 OPS and .302 BA.....doesn't take long to turn it around
  19. It would be helpful to update the bullpen use for off days.......I'm more interested in pitches thrown and the number of days the guy is not pitching. It appears as though Chapman has thrown 5 pitches in 3 days. In reality he has thrown 5 pitches in 4 days. (Thursday was an off day)
  20. I like Duran, Campbell, Abreu, Bregman, Devers, Story, Casas, Naraez, Anthony/Rafaela....that's .646-.900-.959-.929-.684-.767-.509-.500-.520 (OPS)
  21. That I would agree on. We have a kid that would lead all 2B with OPS of .900. He needs to stick there and get better and more comfortable defensively. We complain about needing stability at 2B now for many years and then what do we do?
