MLB Trade Rumors had Giolito at two years, $44 million; The Athletic two years, $24 million with opt out after first year; FanGraphs columnist Ben Clemens four years, $60 million; and FanGraphs crowdsource two years, $30 million. The Red Sox did OK.

A fair-value offer is unlikely to land one year of Corbin Burnes. Given the current market for starting pitching, the best offer for Burnes should easily exceed fair value as measured by some contemporary metrics. However, the market will ultimately set the price if the Brewers trade Burnes. -
