  1. It seems a little time in Worcester has set Brasier straight. Next down - Barnes!!
  2. Not sure what you’re talking about, but I clearly am. That should soothe your worries…
  3. Oh so now you’re all about clarifications. Got it
  4. I do not understand why Danish is not in Worcester. Does he have some blackmail on Bloom or something?
  5. Fair question. I have defended the right of players to not get surgery, although I have also questioned those decisions, too. (Example - Sale waiting until March for TJ.). Just like I did with Houck. The one thing I did that wasn’t fair was I assumed why Houck was vaccinated. And there are other potential reasons. For example, I didn’t consider he might be allergic to the vaccine. The only thing I know for certain is the reason wasn’t a fear of needles…
  6. And we don’t want the discussion to go that way. So bring it back to baseball. I should also add that technically, “hitting in Toronto” is another acceptable side effect to discuss. Maybe even “fielding in Toronto” for those who like to dive deep. But that’s it…
  7. No. Like all of us, just bring it back to pitching in Toronto. This is a baseball forum. Not a public health forum…
  8. Next time you read my post, just look up. That thing zipping over your head was the point…
  9. No, he may not. Any and all talk of vaccines is limited to the singular side effect of pitching in Toronto….
  10. My point was they didn’t have to cut/DFA anyone. Just demote Danish. This limit doesn’t affect 40 man rosters; just 26 man active rosters…
  11. Houck absolutely has the right to not get vaccinated. And I have the right to disagree with his choice, even if I respect his right to make it. I simply want him eligible to pitch in Toronto and am not going to discuss pro- or anti-vaccine stances beyond that point…
  12. Why isn’t important. What is important is it’s a rule he has to follow. If Toronto had some city ordinance that all visiting athletes had to wear moose antlers, I would also expect Houck (and his teammates) to comply. It seems to me you’re the closest to bringing politics into this. I just don’t like that he won’t be playing due to a personal choice…
  13. It’s a personal, and IMO, selfish choice by Houck. We can stop pretending this is the only place in the world where vaccinations are required to travel to. Not to mention, how many athletes receive surgery and take on various other harsh medical procedures simply to keep playing. But Houck made that choice, and he and the Sox will have to live with it. Even if it means him watching from home as his teammates cough up a late lead in the ALCS. Fans always like to weigh in on the importance of team chemistry and clubhouse leaders vs clubhouse cancers. Do we think or know how Houck’s teammates feel about this? Will they feel the same if the postseason does go through Toronto?
  14. We’re talking about it from an MLB perspective…
  15. Only if they have a small late lead…
  16. Does this mean you want Tony Tarasco in our RF platoon?
  17. Not to mention his 40 man out of options status was hopefully not surprising, and the Sox had to know about the 13 man pitcher deadline today. Not sure why they didn’t simply demote Danish, who has an option and seems to be more problem than solution with this bullpen…
  18. Then why deal Arroyo for another hopeful? Looking at Refsnyder’s career, it’s filled with minor league decency and MLB limited opportunities. Any RHH OF you can get for Arroyo is more likely to be a step down than a step up…
  19. Sorry. Fitzgerald. Long story involving someone in the office. Similar name. Blah blah blah…
  20. And yet rarely does the second man agree to trade his treasure for the first man’s junk…
  21. In case he turns out to be a flash?!? How do I break this to you? He already is one, and it’s been a good thing so far. But yea, it will end. And probably very suddenly and without warning. But that doesn’t mean some other scrub is necessary. The new guy would probably never even give us a flash…
  22. Players like Arroyo get dealt all the time, usually in inconsequential deals. I just find it odd/unrealistic he has become the “go to” trade piece for filling actual needs…
  23. A team needing a UIF might be more interested in the cheaper Fitzpatrick…
  24. We already have a scrub OF that bats right-handed. He’s playing well right now, too…
