  1. That he was wrong. I thought it was a simple enough overview…
  2. And you’d be wrong…
  3. It’s not just about base stealing. A larger first base helps Duran get on base. And at that point his first-to-third speed is useful. And teams like Pittsburgh and Oakland are always interested in minimum wage MLB players. Sure they might not pay as heavily as you want, but the interest is there…
  4. They should be better than the 78 win 2022 team. But whether or not it’s improved enough for October baseball rests largely on the durability of two fragile starting pitchers…
  5. 7th ranked prospect? That clinches it! He’s clearly the next Jesus Montero!! I would doubt he’s in Boston in 2023. But certainly 2024 is reasonable. Then comes the question of how good he is vs MLB pitching and how long it takes him to get there. I do think the glove will play no matter what..
  6. So therefore every move ever won’t pan out…
  7. Most free agents are in their 30s…
  8. No one is suggesting Duran can be traded for Ames Rosario or Nico Hoerner. But he has a speed advantage that could prove useful with new rules and, while his hitting stats were weak, they actually weren’t the worst in MLB and actually do represent upgrades over some players. Not to mention he makes league minimum, which always has some appeal with certain teams…
  9. And exactly which A-ball at bat convinced you Mayer is already a franchise SS?
  10. Rafaela is on the 40 man roster. I’ll assume Goodman is an autocorrect…
  11. I think we’ve reached a point where if Duvall does go to RF, Duran will play CF. And Kike and TBD start at middle infield. If any OF gets traded, Verdugo is simply much more tradable. Although I do like the idea of dealing Duran to the Cubs for 2b Nick Madrigal…
  12. Well, I’ll go with we should add a middle infielder, specifically a shortstop…
  13. While both are good prospects, I’m not sure either is a foundation you build a team around…
  14. I don’t see Hamilton ever starting. So now once they sign Duvall, who goes? I’ve been saying Ort for so long now it’s probably time to realize his job security is just far too deep…
  15. So now is it Kike at SS and Arroyo/Valdez at 2b? Or is another MI coming?
  16. I think the choices were down to Duran and Duvall. Kike to the INF looks like the aftermath of Story’s surgery…
  17. Sox sign Duvall…
  18. So… they’re due!!
  19. I wouldn’t bet on any two teams making a trade, but the Sox and Yankees do make a fairly decent amount of trades with each other…
  20. I mean it probably want the experience he dreamed about as a kid, but hey, he did make it there…
  21. Yankees do. They’re loaded with middle infield and have a vacancy in LF…
  22. Yankees would be giving a regular role to a Gold Glover with a batting title. That’s not so bad…
  23. We all would, but the Sox are actually likely to give Jarren Duran a real shot somewhere, because they need players, he’s here, and his MiLB track record leaves little to prove…
  24. So what if the Sox put Duvall in RF and deal Verdugo for Gleyber Torres? The Yankees get their missing LF and clear a path to playing time for DJ LeMahieu. The Red Sox get their missing middle infielder. C - McGuire/Alfaro. Trevino 1b - Casas. Rizzo 2b - Torres. LeMahieu SS - E Hernandez. IKF 3b - Devers. Donaldson LF - Yoshida. Verdugo CF - Duran. Bader RF - Duvall. Judge DH - Turner. Stanton Is each team better than it was yesterday?
  25. Those are the options. Duvall in CF or Duvall in RF. Now the latter still might mean Duran in CF…
