  1. I know!! It’s almost (but not quite). THANKSGIVING and this team still looks like the pathetic 89 win team from 7 weeks ago! But with Sonny Gray…
  2. Are those reports from me on this board a month ago?
  3. Next up? RHSP Jon Gray, obviously…
  4. Good point. Fitts, yes. But when did Bloom get all this familiarity with 2024 draft pick Brandon Clarke?
  5. So is Breslow’s plan this off-season only to acquire players named Gray? First Tristan, now Sonny. Or will he be venturing out into other colors? (Like, say, Hunter Greene? Or will we just get Seth Brown and Tyler Black?)
  6. I had him and Password ad their most tradable prospects, but I had hoped for someone better. I liked Fitts as a potential bullpen arm, where I felt he could succeed…
  7. I don’t like that return at all for Gray. A BA top 100 prospect plus for a 36yo pitcher making over $30mill?
  8. Unless it’s for Alan Alonso, José Marte, and Ryan Noda…
  9. I did not have this on my Bingo card. Well, I did back in like 2023…
  10. It’s a serviceable solution…
  11. This falls into the “why not just go with Early instead?” category…
  12. I can write those same words about Hamilton, and be just as (in)accurate…
  13. Stop. Merrill Kelly is old enough to be Brady Singer’s dad. Singer just finished his age 28 season with 12.1 bWAR. Ryan just finished his age 29 season with 11 bWAR. I think there is an argument there for Singer…
  14. On here? Yes. In the Cincy offices? Probably none. But some clickbait Cincy guy wrote a nonsensical article about trading Hunter Greene, and trading Lodolo at the very least makes more sense than that. Now Brady Singer is a likely trade chip. And he is a very talented pitcher on par with Joe Ryan. But Singer’s issue is he only has one year left, which makes trading any MLB outfielder for him a really bad idea. Except maybe Password, but not sure Cincy wants that…
  15. As much as I don’t like the Polar Bear, he really checks the most boxes of any free agent hitter…
  16. I’d rather have Williams and Hoskins/Bell over Suarez. Suarez is looking pretty one dimensional. The man hit 49 HRs and still had a lower OPS than Romy Gonzalez…
  17. Yeah but Tampa does that with plenty of lesser players every year…
  18. And that is exactly why Harry Frazee is not running this team today…
  19. Alonso, Marte and Lodolo is my perfect off-season. But Alonso, Polanco and Ryan is much more likely…
  20. Bregman and Bichette feels odd. I mean, who plays 1b and where does Mayer play?
  21. How about “the Sox don’t have Tampa-level financial concerns?”
  22. Whats the advantage of Schwarber over Alonso? Both players come with impeccable durability. Schwarber played 150 games in 2024, which is the lowest total either played in the last 3 seasons. Schwarber’s OPS+ over the last 3 years is 135. Alonso’s is right there at 130. Alonso bats right-handed, which the Sox could use, actually plays 1b, and is a year younger. So is Schwarber’s slight offensive advantage enough to offset that Alonso actually fills more voids (right-handed power, plays 1b)?
  23. Polanco to 3b isn’t the worst idea. Far from it. He hasn’t played there much on his career, but his SS background suggests it wouldn’t be too difficult for him. And he’s not much for 2b anyway…
  24. Michael King back to SD for maybe 3yrs $70 millj
  25. The Sox could use Rushing, or flip him more easily than Duran since he makes no money and has more control. Hyeseoung Kim didnt do much for me. Guess basically a step down from Hamilton. Now Ha-Seoung Kim works for me..
