  1. Is Devers really a loss? The team was so much better once he left…
  2. Did you just refer to Hicks and Yoshida as “trade assets”?
  3. I absolutely love that idea. Duran ($49.5mill) and Abreu ($26.2) give a surplus value of $75.7mill to SD. This is just shy of Tatis ($83.2mill) Adding in a single player like Mikey Romero (8.3), Jhostnyxon Garcia (7.8), or Kyle Harrison (9.4) makes it a fair trade package on that metric. I imagine they prefer Harrison. Young, cheap pitching is like a trump card in these deals…
  4. That package should get you Mason Miller, Rick Miller, Shelby Miller, Wade Miller and as a PTBNL, Roger Miller…
  5. But if the Sox never trade Lynn, we would be without all those heartwarming memories created by Frank Tanana, Jim Dorsey and The Return of the (Joe) Rudi…
  6. Too bad, because when stories break that the Sox are “interested in” a player, it almost always assures a deal is imminent. (Possible sarcasm?)
  7. Gray is a full 7 inches shorter, but as you pointed out, he’s a year younger. Maybe he’ll have a growth spurt in his late 30’s…
  8. If you’re packaging him with Mayer and Abreu and trying to get a set up/closer, no team will turn that down. They’ll take Mayer and Abreu, DFA Grissom, and then likely pass away from physical exhaustion caused by their uncontrollable bouts of laughter…
  9. Think the Athletics are going to bench Brent Rooker in favor of Yoshida?
  10. They’re going to address the infield somehow. I think they are aware who they have and who they list…
  11. Hmmmm… not so sure I agree. I was thinking of coming back as Bugs Bunny from “Baseball Bugs”
  12. I know!! It’s almost (but not quite). THANKSGIVING and this team still looks like the pathetic 89 win team from 7 weeks ago! But with Sonny Gray…
  13. Are those reports from me on this board a month ago?
  14. Next up? RHSP Jon Gray, obviously…
  15. Good point. Fitts, yes. But when did Bloom get all this familiarity with 2024 draft pick Brandon Clarke?
  16. So is Breslow’s plan this off-season only to acquire players named Gray? First Tristan, now Sonny. Or will he be venturing out into other colors? (Like, say, Hunter Greene? Or will we just get Seth Brown and Tyler Black?)
  17. I had him and Password ad their most tradable prospects, but I had hoped for someone better. I liked Fitts as a potential bullpen arm, where I felt he could succeed…
  18. I don’t like that return at all for Gray. A BA top 100 prospect plus for a 36yo pitcher making over $30mill?
  19. Unless it’s for Alan Alonso, José Marte, and Ryan Noda…
  20. I did not have this on my Bingo card. Well, I did back in like 2023…
  21. It’s a serviceable solution…
  22. This falls into the “why not just go with Early instead?” category…
  23. I can write those same words about Hamilton, and be just as (in)accurate…
  24. Stop. Merrill Kelly is old enough to be Brady Singer’s dad. Singer just finished his age 28 season with 12.1 bWAR. Ryan just finished his age 29 season with 11 bWAR. I think there is an argument there for Singer…
  25. On here? Yes. In the Cincy offices? Probably none. But some clickbait Cincy guy wrote a nonsensical article about trading Hunter Greene, and trading Lodolo at the very least makes more sense than that. Now Brady Singer is a likely trade chip. And he is a very talented pitcher on par with Joe Ryan. But Singer’s issue is he only has one year left, which makes trading any MLB outfielder for him a really bad idea. Except maybe Password, but not sure Cincy wants that…
