    Anyone saying Breslow is done or isn’t done at this point in the off-season is looking for ratings or hits. I have no idea what Breslow’s offseason plan is, but I do know he’s going to be flexible based on what other teams do, what offers they make, what players they make available, and what trade offers he receives, if any. Not to mention, what happens if his own players get hurt. He might focus on offense for a while. But that does mean he’s all done with pitching and will not be reactive

Crochet addressed a major need. I think some people are more infatuated with Henry spending than they are with the team improving. (Also Crochet’s extension was not free.) Are you saying that the Sox should only make moves that address major needs? And no, they cannot prioritize them because they can’t control when players sign and when teams deal.     I absolutely love that idea. Duran ($49.5mill) and Abreu ($26.2) give a surplus value of $75.7mill to SD. This is just shy of Tatis ($83.2mill) Adding in a single player like Mikey Romero (8.3), Jhostnyxon Garcia (7.8), or Kyle Harrison (9.4) makes it a fair trade package on that metric. I imagine they prefer Harrison. Young, cheap pitching is like a trump card in these deals…
