  1. Booser pitched in all 3 games in Cincinnati. His demotion could be related to simply getting a fresher arm on board…
  2. Someone named cactus put a trade on BTV. Yoshida and Yorke (total: -9.5) for Anderson (-8.5)…
  3. Personally, I think Tyler Anderson and Paul DeJong would make for an excellent pair of deadline acquisitions…
  4. Presumably why Fangraphs only values him at a non-MLB leading 1.0 fWAR…
  5. BTV still values him at -8.5. We can go lower…
  6. I know. You’d think Cora would use the bullpen more. But nope!!
  7. So… you’re saying he’s a weird guy…
  8. Tyler Anderson is in year 2 of a 3 year $39mill contract. I have seen blurbs he is available. The main reason I doubt this is that Tyler has (very) quietly taken over the American League lead in bWAR among starting pitchers. But if he is available, he might be Andy Bailey’s type…
  9. Assuming the Mets even sell, the market for Alonso could be enormous. I like when deals work out on BTV, but this one screams potential overpay…
  10. He would if those games were 15 innings long each…
  11. Sox needs: Pitching. Preferably a starter since we only have 4. Available Targets?: Tyler Anderson, Jack Flaherty, Chris Flexen, Sean Manaea, Colin Rea to name a few. Defensive SS Available Targets?: Paul DeJong, Brandon Crawford, Nick Ahmed, Luis Rengifo
  12. It starts with a single inning…
  13. Do you have an inflatable Anthony Rendon doll?
  14. He’s just saying Casas isn’t his favorite type of player. Not that Casas needs to be publicly flogged and traded…
  15. We have our own struggling RHH 2b under 25 years old…
  16. Hey according to the data, it puts me in the minority…
  17. Names? No names? I want wins. I’d much rather have a team of dirt cheap no-name winners than overpaid, famous, big name losers. I guess I’m in the minority there. I’m starting to wonder if most baseball “fans” really like the sport. Or do they just like watching rich people spend lots and lots of money needlessly…
  18. Overrated. Until you have teenagers, you’ve never been complained about…
  19. Josh Winckowski (surplus value - 5.7mill) for Pete Alonso (6.3 mill). Mets get a solid bullpen arm with 4+ years of control. Red Sox get a slugging right-handed 1b/DH who screams at opposing pitchers if his moonshots drift into foul territory…
  20. Exactly. Which maybe could have been done with Houck. And Crawford…
  21. I’d be more apt to agree about teenagers…
  22. I brought him up this off-season (before Sale/Grissom). I don’t recall many getting excited. I guess no one appreciates Drury like you and I do. And maybe Mrs. Drury. Maybe. But not those whiny Drury kids. Bunch of spoiled brats…
  23. Not Houston? Or the White Sox Guaranteed Rate Field?
  24. I was at the Cubs-Mets game last night, watching the defensively ignorant Pete Alonso at 1b. I asked my Baseball Nut Daughter what team Alonso, a player she hates because of his frequent bizarre and often whiny outbursts, would finish the season on. Seattle seemed like the best fit to her. She didn’t like my suggestion with him staying in New York after his trade. But then, she has a soft spot for Rizzo…
  25. He’s 24 with 536 career PA. Boy we really like to label them busts quickly ‘round these parts. (Shout out to Vaughn Grissom.)
