  1. Did I ever say Yorke Hate was among the metrics crowd? He’s not alone in that evaluation tactic…
  2. It was more of a question of whether or not the lists came out before the trade. 2016 Kopech was ranked on BA and BP, but not top 40…
  3. Or at least wasn’t making decisions about the MLB roster based on him. At that time, the Sox still had Pablo Sandoval locked up for 4 more years…
  4. 2017: Benintendi, Moncada, Kopech, Espinoza Before 2017, Benintendi and Moncada were ranked 1 and 2 by both Baseball America and MLB…
  5. I’ve seen some Yorke Hate. I’ll highlight it when it comes up. Randy Red Sox is a notorious Yorke Hater, for example…
  6. Technically you should be able to if you take the whole contract. The Mets did fairly well pawning off Scherzer and Verlander by getting BA Top 100 prospects Luisangel Acuna and Drew Gilbert. But they also included some $85mill in cash. Had they not included the cash, safe bet those prospects are not headlining those respective trades…
  7. Yeah, I guess he’s only got one year of service time. He’s not exactly a guy who highlights the strengths in the Sox drafting or minor leagues…
  8. Gonzalez? Did you mean Valdez?
  9. Yeah I wasn’t sure of your post counted as Yorke Hate. But it’s a real thing. Not sure why…
  10. Sox are 6-0 in Hamilton’s last six starts…
  11. I am not sure of this counts, but there is a significant amount of Yorke Hate. There’s call for a RHH middle infielder this year. If the Sox swung a deal for a 22yo RHH second baseman with a .950 OPS in AAA and a first round pedigree, folks would be having children just so they could name them after Craig Breslow, even if they were daughters. Yet somehow there’s a slew of people ready to, as Bellhorn so loves to read, drive Yorke to the airport in any deal despite him fitting that exact description…
  12. Just teach him to pitch…
  13. The Sox can get a SP or RHH without giving up any of Anthony, Mayer or Teel. It’s actually gotten rare to see prospects of that caliber dealt mid-season any more, unless for multiple years of a superstar, like Juan Soto…
  14. So ironic you call that Priceless, as it shows you forgot one of the other very expensive names in that trade…
  15. Fixed moon’s misleading fix
  16. So no pitching? The depth is zero if anyone gets hurt...
  17. Ryan Kalish was no Craig Hansen. There is enough volume to make this kind of thing a full time website on its own.. Also, why the RIP for Kalish? Does it stand for “Remain In Pawtucket”?
  18. He has soda and amphetamines??!?!
  19. Lars Anderson was no Henry Owens…
  20. Those guys were no Gavin Cecchini…
  21. Many have probably forgotten bout the 5 year $25mill extension given to this former Sox player https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/l/lansimi01.shtml And that was back in the late 1990's, when that was not exactly utility infielder money...
  22. At some point, I do agree that the best ability is availability. Yoshida is here and can, like many members of the team this season already have, surprise us...
  23. I'm fine with that. Unless said person is an actual Uber driver just looking to drum up clientele...
  24. But most important, unlike other sports, talking baseball trades is fun. Sure, occasionally, you have to determine the money factor. But as mentioned before, the NBA salary cap is needlessly overcomplicated. And the NFL almost never does player-for-player trades and instead one side almost always receives the wildly unexciting draft pick compensation. Ya-f***ing-hoo. And the NHL? Is that still a league? f*** NHL trades. The NHL is like that bratty little child always fighting for attention by acting out in school. just so his parents might give him food and maybe health care. With him, it's all "Feed me. Give me my insulin! Treat my leprosy!" Shut up, Ronny! Know your place! Baseball trades? Team A needs relief pitching. Team B needs outfield help. Can these teams help each other? How do we equal out the money? And then all that is left is calling the respective GMs and informing them that we did all the legwork...
  25. Spell check is for simians. Also, you assume too much. I mean, how do you know whether or not English is even my first language? I bet my English is better than your Galician...
