  7. Aren’t you comparing different series here? One of the things helped JBJ was that there was no outstanding pitching candidate...
  8. That’s possible. Or the Sox make some sort of trade...
  9. Yes, they’re going to say hello to Josh Donaldson. Or possibly the most underrated from this free agent class - AJ Pollock...
  10. I think I’d be fine with 8 positions not changing, but if the Sox do want to improve, do so at 1b. And as of now, I’m assuming Nunez and Holt handle 2b...
  11. The 2004 Red Sox also went 11-3 in the postseason. But their 3 losses set up the most exciting comeback in MLB history and did so against the Yankees. THAT was a dream...

DD May have made fewer than the others, but his tenure is shorter and, let’s face it, our evaluation of deals does change over time. To many, Price was a bad deal as recently as a few months ago...
  21. Actually Hoyer left long before Theo so he could be GM of the Padres and build his new career based upon repeatedly trading for Anthony Rizzo...
  22. Pearce was an excellent choice and I’m glad to see some props go to a guy with a pretty undistinguished career...
  23. Or 27, when free agency kicks in...
  24. Is Chavis injury prone or just recovering more slowly without his steroids? Travis’ ceiling is definitely weak side platoon stopgap. So, yes, he is a long shot. And if nothing else, maybe that leaves a clear role for Swihart...
