  1. It would bother me if Santana stuck around for another season in any capacity above maybe manning the phones for ticket sales…
  2. Would not bother me one bit if Shaw and Iglesias both stuck around for another season in some capacity…
  3. There may be non-tenders, too. Possibly Brasier, Plawecki and Rios. Although they also might be re-signed for less…
  4. So… you’d be a s***** ump? I’ve seen bad umps and made my share of Angel Hernandez jokes, but at least he sucks for both teams. OTOH at least you admit you’d be biased…
  5. So maybe a Quasimodo hater?
  6. So this is like a prequel to Bumblebee, which was a prequel to the Transformers movie, which was a prequel to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which was a prequel to Transformers: Dark of the Night, which was a prequel to… you get the idea…
  7. The cars turn into pedestrians?? Like some freakish hybrid mix of a Transformer and a werewolf???
  8. I can’t get too mad about this COVID outbreak on the Sox. It’s at least nice to see our defenders catch something…
  9. But what about a stool?
  10. It would be ridiculous to place a 18 month plan for controlling a pitcher not even close to MLB as it is. Because any claiming team that wanted still might think he needs MiLB time, but they can’t until July/August 2023, by which time Ward will be 26. Teams will find it’s not remarkably difficult to find a much healthier pitcher to draft…
  11. Like Rick Sutcliffe…
  12. Service clock, yes. Rule 5 clock, no. Like when the Sox took forever to maintain control of Adam Stern…
  13. Any team selecting Ward would either have to keep his injured arm on the active roster for all of 2022 knowing he is unable to pitch and preventing someone else who can from taking a roster spot, or they could put him on the 60 day IL and then activate him in July/August and then keep him in MLB until July/August 2023. At that point, they would own his rights. Seems like far too much for a pitcher with 6 innings above A ball…
  14. Nope. Makes it harder. In order to keep a Rule 5 selection, a player has to be on the ACTIVE roster aka the 26 man roster for a full season. Time on the IL doesn’t count…
  15. Ward is probably out until July or August of next year…
  16. The scheduled Orioles’ starters are Akin, Lowther, and Wells…
  17. Plus sometimes he wanted to get to second, but there was already another man there. Yes, I went there..
  18. I think you caught my drift…
  19. Nick Punto was one of the best defensive infielders in the past 20 years. But he was not loved by anyone except Ron Gardenhire and maybe Mrs. Punto. And even she complained he needed to get to second base more often…
  20. Or a little Stan Islozol…
  21. Just the Brain. Not Pinky, however…
  22. I only use evil mice, like the ones that scared away Sylvester and then tried to execute Porky Pig…
  23. Probably. Baseball revolves around stats and for non-pitchers, stats revolve around offense…
  24. Orlando Cabrera and Doug Mientkiewicz might not agree…
  25. No. Opens the door for too many “stool sample” jokes. I’m looking at you, mvp78…
