    Check out the strength of schedule since, and factor in two lucky wins off Barnes. My point is that the “morale” thing is a myth. Some players might care, but there are very few broad brushes that can be applied to everyone. Not to mention, the losing started a couple days earlier…

    Really the biggest issue is this team just likes to help out opposing pitchers. Montgomery couldn’t find the strike zone with a map and compass, but the Sox hitters were just too accommodating to him and swung at anything anywhere in the Bronx…

    That was more do on Cora than Bloom. If the goal is to get the bat of the backup catcher in the lineup, why not at catcher? Instead of re-arranging the defense to squeeze him in. And hopefully Cora learns a lesson and doesn’t make this “Renfroe in CF/Martinez in RF/Plawecki at DH” his new thing vs LHP. Just put Dalbec in the game. That should be enough…

    Not putting Renfroe in CF and JDM in RF just to get Plawecki’s bat in the lineup might help some. Was JD in the parking lot on that Sanchez double? Where was he?
