I’m going to watch the last 2 episodes of Season 1 of The Pitt. l really feel I wasted $130 on the MLB. tv package. There’s nothing interesting about this team.. if the youngsters were showing something, or one guy was hitting a bunch of homers. But there isn’t.

If I’m another GM, I’d take Bello but I’m not giving up more than a kid in A ball and the Sox are going to eat every bit of salary beyond the MLB minimum.

I’m a little behind on the broadcast and catching up, but I’m wondering if after that walk Bello looked at the pen (where no one is warming up). Cora saw that and I want to think Alex told him you’re eating this one tonight, so figure something out.

Bello pitches 6 innings tonight. Don’t care how many pitches he throws. Then, he gets sent to Portland, and I’d even consider sending him to Greenville (High A). A message needs to be sent both to him and everyone else.

But he’ll go out and get one and it probably won’t take too long. Breslow would sit around analyzing his spreadsheet and all of a sudden game 162 has been played.

No need to rush Arias up. They rushed Campbell and seemingly made a mess of him. I don’t trust this FO with any prospect.

For those who complained about Suarez, when you have to pitch a shutout to stay even … Fatse and his assistants need to go tonight.

Unless they put someone on the IL (Gray?), he’s not eligible to return until the 29th (pitchers have to spend 15 days in the minors if optioned).

Why the hell is Contreras bunting? I don’t think that came from the bench.

I did look at last season’s game logs. Anthony hit about .200 over his first 20 games, so who knows. If/when Fatse goes, it will be no sacrifice. I can think of literally no one who has improved under his tutelage here. I read last week that last season Bregman noticed something in Story’s swing and that is what led to Trevor’s good last 2/3 of the season. Fatse did nothing.

Everybody that season had a Sox offense. IIRC, Yaz was the only AL hitter to clear .300. The All-Star game thst year was 1-0 on an unearned run.

Even Gibson lost 9 games the year he had that 1.12 ERA.

Scary part is how fast he’s lost it the last two starts. Today was.decent and then all of a sudden bam.

Pretty sure I said most of the other 10 declined an interview. I remember Kapler was interviewed as was one internal option (Romero?). Sox obviously decided no on those 2.

Kim Ng (Marlins) turned down an interview as did the Phillies Sam Fuld.

They could find a replacement for Cora; replacing Breslow is a different animal. No executive wants to work for the Red Sox and won’t unless Henry commits to winning again. Remember, Breslow was the 11th choice, and most of the first 10 wouldn’t even interview.

He had 3 sacs last year and 2 the year before that, so it’s not like he’s never done it, but he’s not great at it (who is these days?). I seem to recall at least a couple times last year when he failed and then bailed himself out with a hit
