  1. How, unless you mean he might resemble Judge if Judge was trying to hit left handed.
  2. Probably had to hold briefly as the ball was hit in front of him. Didn’t matter and actually helped the Sox since the throw home allowed Bregman to get to 3rd.
  3. The raw number is 6, but it’s really 5 since Detroit and Cleveland play 3 times starting Tuesday and one of them is going to lose twice.
  4. Not much he can do except try to get through it. Portland finished their season a week ago and Worcester finished today, so rehab games are not an option.
  5. Disagree; if anything, he was too amped up. He settled down and kept the game close. Sox bats have to do something.
  6. Early’s a lefty; Tampa likely will load the lineup with right handed hitters so in theory more balls should be hit to left. I assume that’s the thought behind it. Now, you just know the ball will find Yoshida all night, but it probably would true if he played left as well.
  7. One good thing for the Sox is that Cleveland and Detroit have a 3 game set while we are north of the border. One of the two has to lose 2 games which helps Boston big time with a good outcome and mitigates any bad outcome in Toronto.
  8. What? Minnesota finally scored a run? Or is that more properly worded the Guardians finally allowed a run?
  9. Not sure what TYPM’s latest Cora rant has to do with Nate Eaton but okay. Eaton is what he is, a nice backup. He’s got some speed and he’s not going to embarrass himself in the field while playing multiple positions. He’ll put the bat on the ball. He’s no savior but in a limited role, he’s fine. Brock Holt comes to mind, though I think Holt had a more little raw ability.
  10. Thats my favorite one; I was always a huge Teri Garr fan. Is Fred actually A.B. Normal?
  11. Agreed. It’s funny to watch YouTube reactions to it, especially by youngsters. Sometimes they get the point but a lot of times they can’t get past certain words.
  12. Staying with the Silent Movie theme, Marcel Marceau says “non”.
  13. Not a great throw but it’s a first baseman’s job to save those. Wasn’t an inbetween hop.
  14. Crochet not great tonight, but again gives them a chance. A loss is on the offense (again).
  15. 1 hit and 1 walk since Bergman’s homer. It’s Mel Brooks’ Silent Movie again tonight.
  16. His performance on 4 days rest has been very mediocre when compared to how he’s done on 5 or more. It’s not horrible, but not nearly as good.
  17. Tazawa was a decent 7th/8th inning guy for a few years (so long as you never let him pitch in Toronto).
  18. IMO, Scwarber's not going to leave Philly; it's a much better park for him and from what I've heard, he really likes it there. The offer that might temp him to leave will be astronomical.
  19. This. Bregman was never THE guy in Houston. He was a solid player and had a couple of pretty good years, but Correa and Altuve were the big cogs
  20. I'm guessing math was not your best subject in second grade or whatever year one learns addition and subtraction. What do 1978, 1986 and 2003 have to do with the last 15 years? For that matter, in 2003, when did they ever have a significant lead?
  21. Did he publicly turn it down during the season and say I'm going to free agency though? I don't know. Most guys just say they are not negotiating during the season and if they do, it's very private. Announcing the intention late in the year is weird.
