  1. I had Chavis in nearly every trade values deal I submitted. I also had Walden and Duran in many as I felt their stock was too high.
  2. I see Chavis as a platoon player (1B-2B-DH and 3rd string 3B) I see Downs as out hope at 2B.
  3. Time to trade Mitch. Sell high!
  4. Here's my core to build around: Devers, Bogey & Verdugo Casas, Downs, Mata, Jimenez & Ward I'd keep Sale, because I think his upside is worth more than his trade value, right now. Everyone else is on the table. All 1-2 year control players could or should be traded for the best we can get, regardless of what it is. 2+ year controlled players should only be traded, if it makes us better with the "better" being more about 1-2 years from now and beyond and not good now.
  5. I agree. We need to save pennies for when we are close enough to top contention and then pounce on a good free agent or two (or three).
  6. I'd tack on some cash and trade JBJ & JD to maximize the return. Get what we can for Workman, Barnes & Hembree. Anything is better than nothing.
  7. The longer he stays, the less he is owed- the less risk another team takes on.
  8. Thanks, John. I hope you are our owner for the rest of my living days. Your brought victory and honor to our team!
  9. JD and JBJ are more tradeable, with some cash throw in. Hembree is cheaper and is certainly tradeable, right now. Pillar, Perez and Moreland have very little trade value. Barnes may have some value, but he may need to prove something, first.
  10. I'd move them all for the best we can get, even if it doesn't seem like enough. I'd even pay part of JD's salary to improve the return. I'd add Barnes to the list, but we'd probably have to pay someone to take him, at this point.
  11. Half game ahead of Pitt, who is 2-7. Trade JD. Trade Hembree. Trade JBJ. Trade Pillar. Bring up some kids. Go Sox in 2021!
  12. I wasn't expecting much, this season, but this is awful.
  13. Yes, too late. Hope he bounces back to being worth something before the deadline, but don'y hold your breath. I'd trade Hembree & JD before something bad happens.
  14. Told ya we shoulda traded Barnes (and anyone not under team control for 2021 and maybe some from 2022.)
  15. Just trade everybody not part of the 2021 or maybe even 2022 plan. Let's make us better long term. The short term is a massive cliff.
  16. Why can't we ever get players like this? Check This Out
  17. Trade him before he shows he's not worth anything. We are NOT winning this year.
  18. The short season doesn't change the fact that teenie tiny sample sizes are near useless.
  19. Trade Heath Bar Hembree before he gets hurt or implodes!
  20. The 7-inning doubleheader rule is now official. There’s no word yet on the proposed 30 man roster extension.
  21. Yes, I know. Look, I'm JBJ's biggest fan on this site and since day one. He's my favorite player. He gets hot, and he gets cold. The fact that he had 3 great hitting games to start the season does not mean we should totally revamp our thinking on who he is, or where he belongs in the line-up, and since he's gone cold, since, I'd say they were right not to move him up after 3 games. I'm all for trying some new things, and I wouldn't have slammed the manager for trying JBJ some where else, but IMO, I'd give him a couple weeks before thinking he's either hot or cold. (He's rarely in between.)
  22. How about 2014? $22M x 7 Tanaka $22M x 7 Ellsbury $17M x 5 McCann $16M x 1 Kuroda $15M x 3 Beltran I think the Yanks signed something like 4 out of the 13 FAs who declined the QOs, that year.
  23. I think he was saying we'd spend the $300M on 3 guys- not on a yearly rate equivalent. Maybe the 3 might sign for $100M/4 or $100M/5, and if you use the $370 number, it could be 3 guys at $123M/4 or $123M/5 each. Now, that might not be enough, either, and all 3 will likely want more than 4-5 year deals, especially in uncertain economic times.
