  1. Have we named anybody? I guess there's still an hour to the deadline.
  2. I could certainly see MIA trade for Sandlin. Maybe a team like PIT might, if the brass think highly enough of his upside. I've kinda soured on him, but he still has some promise.
  3. I'm a master couponer, but you are right. The Crochet extension was necessary to make the deal worth it. The thing is, even if people want to say Crochet & Anthony's extensions equal Devers, we still need to use the savings from Buehler, Gio, Ref, Wilson, May, Matz & Lowe. Bottom line: we have $35-45M to spend up to the line and $55-65M to go to the second line. I'm not going to show how maybe we could add some more budget room by trading Yoshida or Hicks, but including Duran ($7.7M AAV) Campbell ($7.5M) or Rafaela (6.3) or Bello (9.2) could gives us more wiggle room, if we make it tight. If you go with $60M, we could get Bregman or Bichette PLUS Alonso, and make a trade that does not add salary for a SP2- like Campbell + others for Ryan. This is not pie-in-the-sky thinking, but in reality, I'm not sure we are even considering going this bold. I'm pretty certain we ain't goin' Drewski Bold.
  4. Yes. 14 games in 2024 (65 innings) Career Innings 2445 C 66 1B 29 2B 2 LF 1 3B
  5. Drew, I get hoping for the world, but getting 2 boppers is a long shot. Three is La-La-Land. I hate breaking it to you, because I'd love something that bold.
  6. So, Murphy for a single A catcher clears a slot. Bernardino to SEA for a utility type guy who has AAA experience. (no 40 man needed?) I liked BB. Hoppe (not on 40) to SEA for a faraway C/1Bman. Did I miss anything else while walking my dogs?
  7. He looks like a much better player already!
  8. That's 1/3 of our pitchers, but seriously, he did get real bad. Consider this, though, 2022>>> minors BB%: 14.7 Guerrero 14.0 Kelly 13.3 Drohan (some want him added) 12.4 Murphy (out of options) 11.8 Ort (hung on for a long time and stayed in the bigs)
  9. I think that's how they see it. Improve where you can and see what comes down the pike.
  10. That's why I only suggest K Marte.
  11. BTV has K Marte about the same value as Ryan, and I agree.
  12. I'm not sure my ideas are any more likely! LOL. How about this one... (dream on) Sign Alonso & Bregman Trade Mayer, Duran, Rafaela, and Harrison for Carroll & K Marte Trade Campbell, Clarke & Perales for Ryan 1. L Anthony CF 2. S Marte 2B 3. L Carroll LF 4. R Alonso 1B 5. L Abreu RF 6. R Bregman 3B 7. R Story SS 8. L Yoshida/ R Romy DH 9. R Narvaez C SP: Crochet, Ryan, Bello.... RP: Chapman, Whitlock, Slaten...
  13. I dont have access to find Corbin's value. I got the other by looking at some suggested trades for about 5 pages, and none were for Corbin.
  14. The more I think of KMarte, the more I think it might be a path to take, but since I want a solid #2 via trade, I'm 99.9% sure Brez will NOT do two major trades. Sign Alonso or Schwarber Trade Duran and Harrison for K Marte Trade Campbell, Clarke & perales for Ryan 1. L Anthony LF 2. S Marte 2B 3. L Abreu RF 4. R Alonso 1B 5. L Yoshida DH 6. R Story SS 7. L Mayer/ R Romy 3B 8. R Narvaez C 9. R Rafaela CF SP: Crochet, Ryan, Bello.... RP: Chapman, Whitlock, Slaten...
  15. I don't know the BTV on him, so I tried to stick to their parameters. Corbin a pipedream- another reason why.
  16. He's a 40 man roster guy, so is he just minor league depth? (Toro's replacement?) Seems like a waste of a 40 man slot. That's why I suggested he may be DFA'd again.
  17. Ah yes. Thanks. Were there ever any specifics on that?
  18. He's cheaper than Lowe. I hope he's not the fall back guy to a Casas-Romy Plan A.
  19. Seems like AAAA. He turns 30 in March.
  20. What did Wink do a few years ago that supposedly got him into Cora's doghouse? He was pretty good in '23, but slipped some, afterwards.
  21. To me, signing Bregman or Bichette is about the same and a sideways move. Bichette is younger and will get more years, but the AAV might be close. Sign one (or Polanco) and then Alonso or Schwarber, and we;; just be a trade for a #2 away from being a top 5-6 contender.
  22. I think Wink gets claimed, unlike Guerrero, who was then traded due to no need to take a 40 man slot anymore.
  23. I kinda like Moran more than a few others, but the no options thing hurts.
  24. It's the big bat we both hope for! 99 HRS at AAA in 2050 PAs. Yes, that many PAs.
