  1. At the risk of pissing off some Remy fans, I turned up the volume for a few mins and had to mute it, again.
  2. We could replace Barnes with Kimbrel and Ottavino with Barnes, but I agree.
  3. I could see Barnes getting $42M/3 or $52M/4, this winter, assuming no major implosion. Honestly, I think he'd get this deal he just signed for had he had a normal Barnes season, this year.
  4. bWAR Henriks 2015-2020 0.7 0.2 0.2 3.4 1.4 (2020 reduced season) Total 5.9 Barnes (2016-2021) 0.3 0.7 1.1 1.4 0.3 (reduced 2020 season) 1.4 (as of now) Total 5.2 with the rest of 2021 to go Barnes has been more consistent. Hendriks had a great 2019 season that boosts his numbers.
  5. Maybe Cordero, since Marwin is our 4th OF'er. Arauz? Wilson?
  6. Where are all the Kike bashers who were wondering why we signed this guy just 20% into his contract?
  7. Still can't believe so many fans write these guys off so early in a game.
  8. True. I guess I'm thinking poorer teams may try to spread the wealth more to improve their chances of finding more players not necessarily a few very good players.
  9. Bald or bold?
  10. Like I don't provide numbers? LOL BTW, I'm not saying Barnes is better than Hendricks was when he signed, but he's not that far away.
  11. Exactly. Hendricks was almost 32 when he signed his 3 year deal at $18M a year... a little older than Barnes will be when his new deal starts. He began his career as a starter and was pretty bad his first 4 seasons. He had a good season in 2015 at age 26. 2.92 ERA 1.082 WHIP From 2016-2018, he was nothing all that special: 4.01 ERA 1.297 WHIP He did very well in 2019 and the short 2020 season- better than Barnes had done, until this year. 1.79 ERA 0.897 WHIP in 110 IP While Barnes may not have has the spectacular recent 110 IP like Hendricks, he does have 37 IP, this year that compares to that: 2.68 ERA 0.865 WHIP (15.1 K/0 and 2.4 BB/9) Also, he was consistently very good from 2016-2020- a much longer stretch that Liam and as recent as can be. 2016-2018 3.86/1.293 (Hendricks: 4.01 1.297) 2019-2020 3.92/1.385 2016-2020 3.88/1.321 (Hendricks: 3.08/1.129) Let's compare Hendricks 2016-2020to Barnes 2017-2021: Barnes 3.66/1.236 (13.4 K to 4.3 BB) 3.11 FIP in 256 IP 127 ERA+ 79 ERA- Hendricks 3.08/1.129 (11.4 K to 2.4 BB) 2.59 FIP in 263 IP 136 ERA+ 73 ERA-
  12. He was already a millionaire. He also could have gotten more- much more. This was not "market value."
  13. Yeah, lets move Kike to 1B so Duran's bat can replace Dalbec's.
  14. He wants everyone traded or cut, yet he swears he's a Sox fan. I guess he loves the logo or the name, but he hates all Sox players, at some point.
  15. What might we get for all 26 players, this winter?
  16. What's your point? You honestly think this is not a steal? Please don't say, "I just gave some numbers- interpret as you wish." Give us an opinion.
  17. I don't see any issues deciding who to DFA once we activate some of our players 60 Day IL players. Santana or Andriese come to mind. Brice, Rios or Wormnan, too. Wilson, Arauz or Potts could be traded.
