    Renfroe has a great arm, but I'd say he is an average defender at best. I like Arroyo at 2B, and I don't think we can predict he's injury prone. I'm fine with the OF as long as Kike is in CF. I'm fine with 2B. The rest needs fixing. I'm not expecting GG at all 4 slots, but if we can improve 2 or 3, great.

    No, I get your lame position very clearly. I didn't assume or mistake what you said and meant. Yes, both bear responsibility. I'm glad you saw the light. You honestly think Cora is doing or trying nothing or maybe just not doing enough? He's just "letting it happen?" Like if he spent 24/7 with these guys on D, they'd be any better? These guys suck on D. They always have. It might take years to turn them into just average. Just blame Bloom. You are much better at that.

    Maybe this recent horrific defense by this team has biased me in a way that is not allowing me to see the whole picture, but watching this defense is killing me. It's turning me into a grumpy old man. My apologies for being overly testy. (I still think we need a major defensive overhaul at positions that make for complicated decisions that will not make many fans happy.)

    Stawman master. I never said coaches were blameless. You said it goes on the coaching. It's the players, coaching and the GM and the previous admin.

    I'm convinced that if we bring back this same defensive team, even signing 2 aces and the best two RP'ers on the market, won't mean jack s***. You can't ask any pitcher to get 4 outs an inning all year long. Blame Bloom. Blame Cora. Blame the bozo defenders. It matters little, if we don't make serious changes on D for 2022.

    It's not some kind of fluke. These guys weren't even good fielders before this year. They were and still are bozos in the field. For someone who loves blaming Bloom, this is a perfect set-up, but instead it's Cora's fault for not turning clowns into fundamentally sound defenders overnight. He had, what like a week with Munoz?. Three weeks with Schwarber? He was supposed to turn JD into a defender?
