  1. I can’t believe I even sniffed at the idea that Richards might be worth the $8.5M differential on the bonus/buy out. This makes that choice a no brainer. (I know, I know, one game is too small a sample size to make definitive judgments, but I’m so done with GR.)
  2. Come on. This is the O’s. Not saying we’re gonna win, but still...
  3. Meat of the line up. Get it done!
  4. This is now or never time. We can’t lose a game like this.
  5. Brasier has been a surprising BOOST
  6. Ummm, yes. 1 in 4 or 5 innings
  7. well, at least he didn’t walk the 9 guy.
  8. Aaron was great, but I didn’t see much of him in his prime.
  9. Manny was the best right handed hitter I ever saw. He will always be one of my faves.
  10. He worked at hitting more than many know. He was very focused- perhaps a better word than intensity, and rarely got distracted by bad ump calls, striking out, or anything else. He rarely showed frustration. I’m not sure if he ever was.
  11. Judge is a beast
  12. How about 15 Ks in 6 IP?
  13. I think Manny at the plate was an excellent example of calm intensity. On defense, the calmness was still there at times, but the intensity not so much.
  14. It’s cheaper to find pen additions, so maybe that will tilt the decision to us one as a starter. If the budget is limited, I might agree.
  15. Umm, my adult child was once a young child. It wasn't just recently, we were woken up late. You just assumed that's all I was talking about. I never equated the two. I was pointing out that I had a child. Also, you did not ignore it. I do know many kids stay up to watch late games, and they and their parents deal with the consequences of those children without enough sleep. I'm also a teacher who experiences those effects everyday. Not all parents get their kids to bed at set times. I applaud you doing so. I'm not sure why you seem to want to pick a fight over nothing.
  16. LOL 7th inning? Closer? 2-3 innings? 1 inning? 1-2 batters?
  17. Agreed. My idea of a number 1 is a top 30 pitcher, #2, 31-60, #3, 61-90... I like Whitlock as our long RP'er and Houck as the closer for 2022. Maybe Barnes can be a great 8th inning guy, again.
  18. I actually just copied and pasted your earlier post, so yes, nonsensical.
  19. He would be a major score, but I'd still prefer spending on pitching. We could play Semien at 2B and trade Arroyo or keep him as utility, of have Semien play SS, and trade Bogey.
  20. He'll have to do it in 79 pitches. Cora is on a pitch count rampage.
