  1. Easier said than done. Brasier has options.
  2. For some reason, I've always kinda liked Brasier, even through some rough times. He reminds me of an average Joe off the streets that made it to the big dance. He has some nice pitches, but he has certainly been very unreliable for quite some time, now, and has often been on the IL. I've been off his bandwagon, recently, but maybe running along side it. As we all know, RP'ers are up and down, both within a season and season to season, and maybe this will be the start of a prolonged upswing. We need all the upswings we can get from our pen.
  3. Woo with the shut out. Taylor pitched a hitless, scoreless, walkless, K-less first inning. Bello went the next 7, 5H, 0ER, 0BB 7K's Ort pitched a scoreless 9th 1H, 0 BB 2K Wong and JDavis had 3 hits- Wong w a 2B, Davis was a 2B short of a cycle. Granberg & Stewart with 2 hits, each, while Arroyo went 0-3 POR scored late to pull out a win 5-2. Groome let up 2 in 6 IP (3H, 2BB, 10K) Cottam had 2 hits, Reed & Castellanos each had a 2B. Koss 0-4 w 4Ks. Greenville was 2 hit (Binelas with 1.) Salem lost 8-7, despite A Bastardo going 4 scoreless. Mayer, Bonaci, Jordan & Kavadas all with 2 hits. (Kavadas a 2B & HR, Mayer & Jordan w 2Bs) Hickey went 1-4 w HR and BB and had a rare 2K night.
  4. Wacha v Skubal (Finally, we face a lefty.) One game at a time, guys.
  5. I admit that, but I have Kike ahead of Verdugo and JBJ, and he's the RH'd bat. It would make more sense to trade Verdugo, except he has more team control. (THat team control could get us a better pitcher, too.)
  6. Nothing was one unforeseen option.
  7. The thing is, most good players traded at the deadline are for prospects, not a rental like Kike, unless you find a competing tham with a surplus of RP'ers who is dying to get Kike. Now, maybe a three way deal, where we give Kike to one team, that team gives prospects to a non-contender, and we get a solid RP'er could be possible, but I think we just trade a prospect or two for a RP'er or two, like we did with Robles & Davis, last season.
  8. I remember Kike hitting 3 HRs in the 2017 NLCS, a couple HRs in the 2018 playoffs, a 3 run job in the one 2019 playoff series the Dodgers played before his heroics with the Sox. Can or will he repeat it? I sure as hell don't know. But, I'd like to find out.
  9. I thought all you guys believed clutch was a repeatable skill.
  10. The guy who almost single-handedly carried us through the playoffs to the World Series and hit something like .850 the second half or '21?
  11. Indeed! Bloom made a concerted effort to improve the D in the OF and at 2B. Nice to see some dividends being paid out.
  12. He's struggling to keep crooked numbers at bay. I'm thinking we go to the pen, early, tonight.
  13. ...and none of those cheap solo blasts, either. I think he only has 3 solo HRs out of his 11, this season. 1 Granny 4 Three-run jobs 3 Tw-run jobs (Unofficial)
  14. When will Xander start bogarting this joint?
  15. My second question: what do Flat Earthers do when the come to a mountain range?
  16. I should pick a lefty, but I'm opening up a Story Book.
  17. Do Flat Earthers move to Florida for confirmation?
  18. Yes, 37-35! Bonaci, too (41-40) Kavadas isn 't really close, but 54-68 is not bad.
  19. Wrigley is a lot like Fenway. History. Old Time baseball feeling. I can't imagine you not loving the experience.
