  1. I admit that, but I have Kike ahead of Verdugo and JBJ, and he's the RH'd bat. It would make more sense to trade Verdugo, except he has more team control. (THat team control could get us a better pitcher, too.)
  2. Nothing was one unforeseen option.
  3. The thing is, most good players traded at the deadline are for prospects, not a rental like Kike, unless you find a competing tham with a surplus of RP'ers who is dying to get Kike. Now, maybe a three way deal, where we give Kike to one team, that team gives prospects to a non-contender, and we get a solid RP'er could be possible, but I think we just trade a prospect or two for a RP'er or two, like we did with Robles & Davis, last season.
  4. I remember Kike hitting 3 HRs in the 2017 NLCS, a couple HRs in the 2018 playoffs, a 3 run job in the one 2019 playoff series the Dodgers played before his heroics with the Sox. Can or will he repeat it? I sure as hell don't know. But, I'd like to find out.
  5. I thought all you guys believed clutch was a repeatable skill.
  6. The guy who almost single-handedly carried us through the playoffs to the World Series and hit something like .850 the second half or '21?
  7. Indeed! Bloom made a concerted effort to improve the D in the OF and at 2B. Nice to see some dividends being paid out.
  8. He's struggling to keep crooked numbers at bay. I'm thinking we go to the pen, early, tonight.
  9. ...and none of those cheap solo blasts, either. I think he only has 3 solo HRs out of his 11, this season. 1 Granny 4 Three-run jobs 3 Tw-run jobs (Unofficial)
  10. When will Xander start bogarting this joint?
  11. My second question: what do Flat Earthers do when the come to a mountain range?
  12. I should pick a lefty, but I'm opening up a Story Book.
  13. Do Flat Earthers move to Florida for confirmation?
  14. Yes, 37-35! Bonaci, too (41-40) Kavadas isn 't really close, but 54-68 is not bad.
  15. Wrigley is a lot like Fenway. History. Old Time baseball feeling. I can't imagine you not loving the experience.
  16. Enjoy your time at Wrigley. I saw my first MLB game at Wrigley as part of a school trip back in 1967. (I lived in Milwaukee, then.)
  17. Rich Hill on the mound vs Beau Brieske. 1. Duran CF 2. Devers 3B 3. JD DH 4. Bogey SS 5. Verdugo LF 6. Story 2B 7. Franchy 1B 8. Vaz C 9. JBJ RF One game at a time, guys!
  18. I had added at the end of my last post. Arroyo? Meh. But, I erased it.
  19. Great! I was writing Taylor off for the season!
  20. Is that a proven fact agreed upon by all scientists and doctors? There is evidence that being vaxxed does lessen the chance of getting COVID or getting a large enough load to make it more serious and more easily spread. I can provide several links, but I don't want to get into politics. I suggest you google, "Does a COVID Vaccine lower transmission of the virus or lower your viral load?" and look for reputable sites to see there is evidence that shows you are posting false information. It's pretty much agreed upon that higher viral loads in infected patients increase transmission rates, and vaccines help lower viral loads.
