    Good summary. I'd add Story to the big 3. I'd also add that, like you mentioned with Pivetta, Wacha had and showed "front-line potential" over his first 2-3 sasins in the bigs. Maybe he can unlock and keep the door unlocked for a nother full season.

    The tough 5 week stretch begins, but as always, one game at a time, guys! I started the thread early, because I'm hitting the road on my way to Maine and Sox Nation. TOR is at MIL. NYY & HOU duke it out in NYC. Rays host the Pirates, while MIN hosts COL. I'll say it, again, one game at a time, guys!

    Rays lost. Waiting on CLE. We passed the Rays, now and are a half game up on CLE, who is losing. We are 1/2 game behind TOR and the 3rd best record in the AL. Some here, thought we could not do this over the course of 5 months. We did it in about 6 weeks. One game at a time, guys.

    Urshela just homered to put MIN up on CLE 10-7 in the 7th. Yanks up 5-4 heading to the bottom of the 9th. Holmes on the mound.

    CLE just scored 3 in the 7th to go up 7-6 on MIN. Maybe we should start thinking CLE>MIN and root for MIN to keep losing.

    Wow, Pannone went 5.2 without walking anybody! (7Ks, 4H, OER). The pen finished the shoutout. Wong with the homer already mentioned, and RHern had 3 hits (2B). Fitzy went 2-4 w a 2B, too. Granberg 2-4. He never gets XBHs. POR was PPD GRE was smoked 13-2. Mata 2 IP, 4H, 3 ER, 1BB, 2K. McDonough 2-4 and Yorke & Binelas 1-4 w 2Bs. Salem won 5-4. Bonaci, Jordan and Kavadas all had 2 hits. Kavadas with a dinger. Mayer 1-3 w BB.

    Hard for me to like him. He's a cheat. He's a child groomer at best or child molester at worst. He threw the bat at Piazza and then screamed, "I thought it was the ball!" He was great, but not deserving of being liked.

    Makes sense, or for Fitzy. Either seems better than Downs or the 2022 version of Arroyo, so far.

    There are still many countries taking COVID more seriously. One of my sisters is from New Zealand. They get one positive case there, and all hell breaks loose. Then again, they hardly had anyone die, too, so there's that. My sister cam home to visit my parents and got stuck here for months.

    Fitzy and Sanchez would have to be added to the 40. Downs does not. Otherwise, I think one of them would have gotten the call-up. I get that Bogey talked his way out of a day off, but they really never foresaw a need for Downs to learn some 3B before being called up? To me, that is what is most bizzare.
