I tend to think that bringing Cora back would be great for PR reasons. Varitek for bench coach.

There seems to be a lot of speculation about Quatraro. Makes sense too, from Bloom's standpoint. I'm still hoping they bring Cora back.

There were several variables to consider, so I'm not sure I had a specific year in mind, but 2020 or 2021. I was thinking the cliff would occur when the Red Sox decided to reset. I wasn't convinced that they were going to reset this year, and thought it would actually make more sense to wait until next year to reset because of the talent still on the team.

It ends up being more or less a crap shoot, as many of us have said many times. Three game series are pretty much a toss up.

Once a series starts, there are no off days until the series ends. Cole and Tanaka will not be able to start that many games unless they go on short rest. Also, the pitching the Yankees will be facing will be better than what they have typically seen during the regular season. So will the opposing offenses, for that matter. The Yankees can certainly win it all, but I don't see them as favorites or near favorites by any means. I think their seeding describes it best.

I will give you Workman, Moreland, ERod and Beni. Dombrowski created circumstances that made it nearly impossible to keep Mookie, Price, or re-sign Porcello. He also created circumstances that did not allow to the team to effectively replace ERod or Beni, or any other player for that matter.

Henry will not tolerate another season like 2020. He won't play it cheap. But as I just posted, that doesn't mean he has to sign a Bauer or a Realmuto to monster contracts either.

I don't believe that either. Get under the cap to reset? Sure. But Henry is not going to become a tight wad all of a sudden. There may not be any huge contracts, but he will continue to spend right around the luxury tax line every year.

I would like to add that the prognosis for next year is not looking bad because we got rid of Dombrowski. Had we kept him, the cliff would likely run much deeper. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

I could have done that, as could any of us. Pay more than anyone else for the already most expensive players. There's no talent there.

Hands on and and self important twit are not mutually exclusive. I'm basing it off of the speculation that Dombrowski was not much of a team player.

I'm not looking to trade Barnes. He might not be our 9th inning guy, but he should be fine as a late inning reliever.
