  1. Jesus Christ you're stubborn. I've already shown you his spray chart (twice), and he clearly does hit the ball the other way. Would it kill you to admit that you were wrong?
  2. Huge break for the Yankees. Even the YES announcers admitted that Ianette as safe "and it wasn't close".
  3. Sabathia is throwing 89-91 and topping out at 92 mph again today. This game is far from over.
  4. Michael Kay is talking about the loss column. Jackso is the the Michael Kay of forum members.
  5. Johnson has been much better lately. I have a feeling this will be a quick 9th.
  6. Jung, Middlebrooks can't be a dead-pull hitter who routinely hits for power the other way. That's the opposite of a dead-pull hitter. We're not talking semantics here, we're talking antonyms. It has absolutely nothing to do with where in the strike zone the pitch is, or James Loney or Carlton Fisk or whatever else you come up with.
  7. I get why people give up on games early now. It makes it much less frustrating when our three outs in an inning are a warning track shot, a line drive right at an outfielder and a running catch on a ball headed to the corner of the outfield.
  8. Hold the phone, the Yankees have scored three runs! The last time they scored that many runs in a game was last Tuesday.
  9. I have no idea where any of this is coming from. You stated: Either he's a dead-pull hitter or he's not. It has nothing to do with James Loney.
  10. All 162 games count. No team is going to lead their division by only pitching well against one team.
  11. Anything could happen, but I doubt the O's would pass us for long. They don't pitch well against the other 29 teams in baseball.
  12. So you've changed your stance that Middlebrooks should stop hitting the ball the other way?
  13. Cano continues his run as the least clutch hitter in baseball. Comes to the plate with men on second and third, one out, and strikes out looking. Then Hafner walks to load the bases and Vernon Wells promptly grounds in to a double play to end the inning.
  14. An outfielder's going to have to come in, and Nava will have to go to first. We don't have any more first basemen.
  15. Looks like Napoli's going to lead the team in runs today.
  16. Gomes is just unbearable out there. Lester is not pitching nearly as bad as his line suggests. He has 7 strikeouts, no walks and 9 hits. But his BABIP is over .500 and the O's aren't hitting him hard.
