  1. Doubront has a 4.45 ERA, 3.87 FIP and 3.70 xFIP as a starter this year, while averaging 5.2 innings a start.
  2. I hope the Red Sox remember to cleat up before the game today.
  3. "Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Thursday that he was unsure whether Curtis Granderson (finger) would return prior to the All-Star break."
  4. Who do we boot from the rotation to make room for them?
  5. As much as I'd love for it to be Jedd Gyorko, it will be the Padres 20th best prospect who not even Padreds fans have heard of.
  6. It happens, baseball's a long season. I guarantee if the Yankees had a three game lead in the division, you would not be complaining about how boring they are to watch. You would probably be saying your "tick another day off the calendar" ******** and saying how if the Yankees had a three game lead with hurt players, they'll have a 10 game lead when they're healthy. Let's be honest, that's the main reason you post here.
  7. The only reason he's really bored is because the Red Sox are ahead of them in the standings so he can't come in to our game threads and go "BOO YAH!" or talk about how the Red Sox are going to be a .500 team by the All-Star break. And I do enjoy that - quite a bit.
  8. This is the 28th inning of baseball I've watched today.
  9. You're bored because they aren't hitting long balls? Do you even like baseball?
  10. Jim Callis ‏@jimcallisba #RedSox agree w/19th-rder Gabe Speier on $200k. Biggest $ I’ve seen after 10th. Calif HS LHP, up to 93 & hard curve early in G. #mlbdraft
  11. My 37-29 Yankees are almost unwatchable. Oh, boo hoo. Talk about spoiled.
  12. Bases loaded... Teixeira infield popup. Fifth inning in a row the Yankees have had a runner in scoring position and failed to score.
  13. Ranaudo's struck out 13 batters through 7.
  14. This is like watching two buses crash in slow motion.
  15. Top of the 13th Cano doubles. Teixeira intentionally walked. Hafner flies out. Youkilis strikes out. Wells strikes out. Yankees are four innings away from scoring. Step it up A's!
  16. More than anyone else on the team, Josh Reddick looks like he should be mowing lawns. http://ww2.hdnux.com/photos/20/26/36/4286373/3/628x471.jpg And with the way he's playing, he might be soon.
  17. That explains Josh Reddick.
  18. This is depressing. He kind of looks homeless.
  19. He never did clarify exactly what he was packing.
  20. Nix strikes out to end the inning. The pressure's on for the A's, if they don't score in the next four or five innings, the Yankees might actually win! I didn't see it, but it looks like Sogard getting caught trying to steal third base in the third inning is a pretty big play right now. Seth Smith later drove in a run on a double.
  21. Yankees spotted another runner in scoring position on an errant Lowrie throw. I don't miss his defense one bit.
  22. Whatever, the Red Sox are peaking. I'm going to go pack.
