  1. For some strange reason this discussion is giving me a craving for breaded chicken strips.
  2. I'll assume that he it was deliberate and offer my own speculations: 1) The temptation is too difficult to resist; and 2) He may have been under the belief that it was something not detectable, or it was masked or whatever.
  3. Even more recent-Bryce Harper. Baseball Trade Values has his contract underwater by 92.9 million.
  4. He was on target for a 60-70 fWAR career before the injury, which would have given him a good shot.
  5. The injury ruined his chances. Thanks Manny.
  6. It was rumored that the reason the Yanks were willing to let him go was because of PED concerns. His whole career might be phony.
  7. I think I would.
  8. Yes, he's always known how to Enhance his Performance.
  9. Nice trade by the loser Mets.
  10. Having Fun with the Fungibles.
  11. Devers's streakiness is a better brand of streakiness.
  12. My whole problem is that the projection seems to be based on a nice stretch of 38 games. His larger sample 2019 season was at replacement level value. And that 38 game sample was skewed by a 12 game hot start. In his last 26 games he OPS'd .748. Fool's gold if ever I've seen it.
  13. I don't get how Moore can have such a high projected WAR based on one good little chunk of games.
  14. (Sarcasm alert) Yeah, just like Cora didn't get the 2019 pitching staff ready. But seriously, Roenicke had everything going against him. It was a virtual tank job by the team. Out of the 3 you named, the only one I can see that Roenicke might have done better with was Devers.
  15. It's kind of strange we've never gotten the full details on exactly what German did.
  16. Seems like more good news on the managerial front.
  17. Does that make the valuation method being used a little questionable?
  18. The valuation of Moore seems a bit bullish, doesn't it?
  19. The dream GM wins championships and leaves the team in great shape too. I'm not sure that man exists in reality...
  20. 9 years with the Red Sox. 9 years with the Cubs.
  21. I'm not really sure, but Bloom seems to like something about him, having signed him with the Rays as well as with the Sox.
  22. DJ set Masters records with total score of -20, and fewest total bogeys with 4.
  23. 1. No 2. Yes 3. No idea
  24. It was widely reported, I think, that the original deal was for Graterol, but something in the medical records indicated that Graterol was not suited to be a starter.
  25. Of course. Just talking about the values at the time of the trade.
