  1. Every fan feels the exact same way, guaranteed.
  2. On July 22/09 we traded Argenis Diaz and Hunter Strickland for LaRoche. On July 31/09 we traded LaRoche for Kotchman. Theo was having a bit of a silly spell.
  3. I think we had all these guys within a short time span, too. LaRoche was with us about 5 games. That was a weird one.
  4. That rest and rehab strategy thing is a plot to drive us all insane.
  5. We've had some players named Adam, and I can't remember any of them being very good LOL Hopefully Ottavino reverses the trend.
  6. Pitchers, man. They seem to be getting more fragile all the time, don't they?
  7. Yeah, sure he is. Bust!
  8. It's too bad he didn't stick with Texas. A man named Sam Travis should be playing for Texas.
  9. I really, really hate to say this, but it might almost be better if we had a single 'RIP' thread.
  10. Sort of like me doing tax returns when I'm stoned.
  11. The Red Sox tried the 'bring back the whole gang and keep the party going' approach in 2019. They really, really did.
  12. Another point you may want to consider on the asterisk thing: in Manfred's report on the Red Sox 2018 sign stealing, it explicitly says that it did not occur in the postseason.
  13. Was Cora disciplined for 2018? I may have missed that.
  14. I read the comments section in the Globe story about JBJ leaving the team. It was a mixed reaction to say the least. There were a lot of people calling him a lousy hitter and an overrated player.
  15. It's natural for us fans to feel that way. The athletes and doctors obviously feel differently, so our opinions don't really matter.
  16. It was Bauer - who else?
  17. Nope, not immaterial.
  18. Agree with both points 100%.
  19. I only disagreed with that example because Benoit wasn't one of the woeful ones.
  20. But you also attributed their loss to us in 2013 to their bullpen.
  21. I don't really get how you're framing this. Just that you're leaving out that keeping Betts for 2019 would also mean getting virtually nothing for him.
  22. I think you have to give Friedman his due. I believe that when he made this trade he figured he had a shot at signing Mookie to an extension, and that was an integral part of why he did it.
  23. He didn't do a very job with their bullpen, I can't argue with that.
