  1. Yes, I know you have. You are very fair.
  2. Cashman's offseason bullpen moves-keeping Britton, adding O'Day and J. Wilson-have also bombed for various reasons. As some Yankee fans have noted, though, he did an excellent job bolstering the Red Sox bullpen.
  3. Kluber and Taillon SEEMED like potentially nice plays. But potential and a quarter get you a gumball.
  4. E-Rod is starting to look like the real E-Rod again.
  5. Sometimes the 'on paper' thing is quite meaningless. Kluber and Taillon were both big gambles with a huge range of possible outcomes. All you could really do was see what happens.
  6. I think he already is. And Henry and Werner probably deserve a few kudos for landing him.
  7. So Shaughnessy had a phone interview with Bloom. To Shaughnessy's credit, before getting into the interview he listed all the stupid things he had said about the 2021 Red Sox and confessed that he didn't know if Bloom would return his call. But Bloom returned it and gave a nice interview, while predictably not saying much. Shaughnessy was trying to get him to gloat a bit about pounding the Yankees and how badly the Yankees were looking, but Bloom wouldn't take the bait, he just laughed and said everybody takes their lumps in this business et cetera. The big takeaway was that Bloom is a cool, smart, nice guy.
  8. I'd be willing to bet he'll be more ramped up than that - obviously barring a health setback.
  9. I'm also looking at the fact the Yankees haven't finished below .500 since 1992. That's an impressive streak. The law of averages says that eventually, you're going to have a spell where nothing goes right.
  10. He's hitting 382/469/655 with Worcester. Why would you say that?
  11. Yes, I'm happy to miss them right now.
  12. It could be the Yankees are just going through one of those phases where nothing goes right. The Red Sox franchise has certainly had 'em.
  13. Even when you win 15-1 there has to be a whipping boy.
  14. His OPS leaped from 485 to 580 today LOL
  15. Santana vs. Santana
  16. All I can say is, I have complete faith in Bloom and Cora. If they think it's worth giving Cordero a shot in a platoon situation, I'm fine with it.
  17. My post was only about the offense and why it's so bad this year.
  18. I don't know. Give us your top 4 right now and let's see how you do. This is your big chance.
  19. Jeez Max, that's a little harsh.
  20. The advanced numbers are not kind to his D so far. I've seen him make some nice picks on throws though. But I too hope he gets better.
  21. He got off to such a ridiculously good start this year. Now he's one of the Before and After Spider Tack poster guys.
  22. Well, we are baseball fanatics, so you sort of can't help thinking of the baseball implications too. Plus Jax ripped him for his actions as well.
  23. LOL a good reminder of why not to pay attention to any of them.
  24. It sure likes like Chapman's amazing start to the season was Spider Tack-related, doesn't it?
