  1. Sonny Gray said they changed his pitch mix and it messed him up.
  2. That 2018 team was so awesome that we brought them all back in 2019 to do it all over again, and what the heck happened?
  3. The Yankees had guys like Sonny Gray and Lance Lynn, gave up on them, now they're pitching well elsewhere. Something just isn't working in the Yankees analytical and coaching departments.
  4. Sheer desperation. Odor has been playing at replacement level or less for 4-5 years. So bad that the Rangers couldn't even use him.
  5. It certainly looks like they shelved that idea temporarily at least. Maybe partly because we've been lucky enough so far not to need a #6 starter. And now Sale is on the horizon. Last night's usage made perfect sense, because he pitched 1.2 innings Saturday.
  6. I don't believe the playoffs are a total crap shoot either. But a lot of unpredictable stuff happens. Last year the Dodgers were clearly the best team and the champs. But they were on the verge of losing to Atlanta, down 3 games to 1.
  7. You know things are bad when Cash's big play is Rougned Odor.
  8. You two do not have very productive exchanges LOL
  9. What he does is annoying. You're enjoying the game and how well the team is playing, and all of a sudden one of Ghost's foolish 'Dump whoever' threads pops up. He's an unfunny clown.
  10. If we really want to play the game to the extreme, Eovaldi's great performance in Game 3 didn't really affect a thing. We lost the game, and simply would have lost it quicker. You're right that the 2018 team was awesome. The only real issue is that the playoffs are short series where just about anything can happen.
  11. Maybe it's time to be sellers again.
  12. It's all hypothetical. Let's say Price was injured for the World Series - who would take his place? We have no idea. If we got terrible starts in those 2 games, hypothetically, we could be down 3 games to 2 after 5 games.
  13. This one made me laugh. The out Mayza got wasn't even in the fifth, it was the fourth. And then he gives up two baserunners to start the next inning and gets yanked.
  14. Detwiler has been around a surprisingly long time. I think he was Red Sox property at one point, but not for long.
  15. Have some cocoa and go to sleep.
  16. Curtis would eventually be traded to St. Louis in a trade in which we got Reggie Cleveland back.
  17. The Sox once had a pitcher named John Curtis.
  18. Check out this one. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TBA/TBA202104250.shtml
  19. Sawamura will likely come back for the 7th. That leaves Taylor, Ottavino, Valdez, Workman. We shall see.
  20. I was just questioning your numbers on Price in that World Series.
  21. Whitlock pitched 1.2 innings Saturday night. He was not in line for a long outing tonight. Cora used him where he could.
  22. ? He pulled Hernandez after two guys got on base.
