    Let's not forget that the first 2 problems in the whole sequence of problems were: 1) Devers's defensive play at 3B had some of the worst ratings in MLB over a period of years. 2) In spite of 1) Devers believed he was a good defensive player and saw no reason why he should change position.

    Story has an 819 OPS in June and plays a pretty good SS. He's overpaid but he's not so much a problem that he needs to be replaced.

    Hamilton was good in 2024. He had a 2.6 bWAR in about half a season's work.

    Crap player Hamilton had a 2 run homer and a single last night and was instrumental in a win. The team is trying to win games right now, not just work with young players.

    I just can't imagine why Ortiz would make up stuff about trying to communicate with Devers and the lack of response. Those are statements of fact, not just opinion.

    Grissom is not a major league hitter. He has a 728 OPS at Woo with a feeble 386 SLG.

    I don't think there's anything to be learned from which teams we've played well or crappy against. If someone told you we'd be 9-3 against the Yanks & Rays at this point, you'd think we'd be 5 games up in the division.

    What same mistakes? Devers was a pretty tricky situation IMHO. It's quite possible that once they decided they had to get him off third base, the rest was inevitable.

    The Sox pitching has been excellent for the last 8 games. SSS but if that continues, Breslow looks a lot better, doesn't he? I have no idea if it will continue, but I'll stay hopeful until it doesn't LOL
