  1. I certainly agree with you there.
  2. And every other team knows that too, so the offers will not be very enticing, methinks.
  3. So you were wrong but it's my fault, got it. As for the rest, you are really sensitive when it comes down to it. You try to pull out the victim card when things aren't going your way. It's not my fault you've a multiple banned poster who gets attention from the mods. You need to take a look in the mirror for once.
  4. Um, this isn't the only thread you posted about it in, pretty simple. Now it should be crickets time.
  5. So why do you just keep citing his errors and fielding % over and over with zero mention of the other measures.
  6. Splendor seems strictly old school when it comes to fielding stats.
  7. Ron Roenicke is probably available. Anyone remember what the fundamentals looked like in 2020? 😛
  8. I'm willing to buy into a conspiracy theory that the Red Sox organization has bought in too much on purely data-driven approaches at the expense of other areas of the game. I'm even willing to agree that the Jim Rice incident was concerning.
  9. We haven't been exceptionally good at anything, when you get right down to it.
  10. By Sunday. Like all accountants I need deadlines to motivate me. 😄
  11. I get what you're saying, it sounds all too familiar, but I'm not sure what else he's supposed to say. He could go all Hal McRae, but I don't think that would accomplish much either.
  12. I'm gonna have a new thread on this offensive output stuff, just you watch.
  13. You're not really basing this on anything but old school beliefs. Rafaela has a bWAR of 1.8 and an fWAR of 1.1, so he's actually been a better than average player.
  14. This is a little over the top, calling Cora a douchebag that is.
  15. We've handed out extensions to Bello, Rafaela, and Campbell, and at the present none of the 3 really make you feel comfortable they were good investments. It's quite possible Rafaela would be treated differently if it wasn't for the extension.
  16. We don't have much in the way of proven commodities. Lots of guys we've had high hopes for...
  17. That was the question with Bradley. And he reached a point where the minus of his hitting clearly outweighed the plus of the defense. Now it's the same question with Rafaela.
  18. Depends on what the coaches tell them, I assume.
  19. In theory, when it's still early, you can go from being a .500 team with hopes of getting hot, to a .500 team without the hopes...
  20. There's definitely some masochism involved in being a baseball fan. The crazy thing is how much we look forward each year to the season starting. 🙃
