  1. Boras's 2023-24 offseason was more disaster than master.
  2. Monty was a top target in most of our minds from the start. (Do you remember your posts about his numbers for the last 3 seasons?) The fact he stayed unsigned so long increased the number of posts about him. Both are true.
  3. The number 18 does make sense. Every game each one of them is responsible to analyze one half inning.
  4. The Seinfeld connotations are inescapable.
  5. When a guy signs the discussion ends. I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make.
  6. All 4 of the big Boras guys had to settle for fractions of what they originally wanted. It was a strange deal. Maybe it was all Boras's fault, maybe not.
  7. For me Richards has kind of a "made a deal with the devil" vibe going on.
  8. Nobody likes you when you're injured. Sale can relate to that.
  9. Dalbec has been surviving like a post-nuclear cockroach.
  10. That threat has been hanging over him for a long time now.
  11. He was a logical target for the Sox from the jump, though. He's been one of the best and most durable starters over the last 3 years. I think you produced his 3 year numbers many times in fact!
  12. And Sox fans aren't bitching these days because wins are the elixir for everything. But the season is very young.
  13. I remember Ted criticizing Dwight Evans's swing angle for a similar reason.
  14. I've been around talksox too long...
  15. And now there's no way to put the genie's toothpaste back in the horse.
  16. If it happened today that hat would be worth $200 K!
  17. Aaaaagh. LOL.
  18. At this point in time I'm not second-guessing the brain trust on any of this. We need to see how it all plays out. Whitlock is getting some more starts, that seems certain.
  19. It'd be interesting to see a list of starting pitchers who have pitched X (fill in a suitable number) of MLB innings without ever having TJ surgery or a single trip to the IL. Must be a pretty slim list.
  20. Seems to be working out with Houck and Crawford so far...
