  1. Beckett has become an incredible headache, that's for sure. Trying to think about it logically, they can't just release him or trade him for nothing. Seems like the best scenario is he gets back to pitching decently and they trade him at the deadline. Best scenarios just ain't happening for this team lately though.
  2. It's actually kind of mind-boggling how bad this season could get. After this little homestand that's off to such a great start, they have an 8-game trip to Tampa, Philly and Baltimore. Then home to play the Rays again. And on from there. No days off till May 24.
  3. Beckett won't think so tomorrow. Dan must be licking his chops.
  4. Yes. When you're playing this crappy there's no margin for error. Sure, we can bitch about a bad umpire's call last night or whatever else made the difference. But when you put yourself in a position that a win or loss against KC comes down to something like that, when you had Lester going against Chen, you deserve to lose anyway.
  5. It seems clear that the only possible change is a major transition away from this team we're seeing right now. That would include a few shocker trades like Beckett and Youk. Needless to say, they absolutely have to get something of value back. Can they do it? Who knows.
  6. Holy s***, D-Lowe is starting for the Guardians tomorrow. Perfect.
  7. Barring a rainout they don't have a day off until May 24. 4 against Cleveland starting tomorrow. With Beckett on the mound. Should be a warm reception.
  8. Are they trying to get Valentine fired? Seems like there has to be a logical explanation somewhere. He's starting to look old and weary. Wouldn't be a shock if he quit.
  9. The Sox are putting on a clinic in how to lose games. Every different way possible, even ones you never dreamed were possible, like getting beaten by a DH throwing 2 scoreless innings.
  10. You have to think that the brass is at least thinking about the prospect of trading him now. Only thing is it might be hard to do it without getting totally screwed.
  11. Check out the replay of the home run. Joyce fell down on his follow-through and looks like he might have hurt himself. Weird.
  12. Well, the Clayton Mortensen Era in Boston is off to a good start, at least.
  13. LMAO Mazz is the stupidest doofus sports writer in history. He counted Bard's relief appearance in his numbers and said Bard had 6 starts and was averaging only 5.1 innings per start. It's only been 5 starts. What an incredible moron Mazz is.
  14. We don't have the answer on Youkilis yet. But it's all in good hands with Ben Cherries.
  15. Padilla shouldn't have picked up that ball, but I think it will rate pretty low on the list of this season's Bonehead Plays for the team.
