At the very least he would have value as a backup corner infielder who starts against lefties. This year he's only had 18 PA's against lefties but he has 5 hits and 4 walks. Last year he had a .987 OPS against lefties.
I have to disagree. 3 pitchers threw an inning last night and 3 different relievers threw an inning today. All of them would easily be available for tomorrow.
And the Red Sox haven't 'burned out their bullpen' every year. Last year Bard got burned out mainly because the starting pitching was so atrocious late in the year. Other than that I don't really know what you're referring to.

I've been talking about trading Beckett so I don't disagree with that part. I just find Wilbur's sourness to be way over the top. I prefer a little reasonableness.
