Pablo is racking up more negative WAR with the Giants.
  2. Bellhorn04
    I agree, Max.
  3. Bellhorn04
You could put Fister in the pen, available in that 'piggyback starter' role we've had some discussion about.

I guess there should be some credit to Farrell for patiently sticking to the plan there.

And a foolish inconsistency is the demon of flip-floppers. There, I think we have it covered.

The Yanks seem in disarray, but in their favor they have 4 good starters lined up against us this series.

Who knows? He couldn't do much worse than Young, who has, incredibly, 1 home run and 4 RBI against lefties all year. You were actually one of the posters who got me all worked up about Brentz...I don't usually even follow the minor league stats. So take that!

    Yankees lose!

That is what Kimmi would call an enigma.

We all get a little knee-jerky at times. You were advocating banishing Moreland to the bench not long ago.

I believe moon is saying it doesn't matter if, for example, Mookie is hitting 3rd or 9th as far as how he performs. But it matters as far as optimizing the lineup.

Or 3 Wild Card teams with Round Robins!

If it comes down to it I could see Workman being tonight's closer.
  14. Bellhorn04
Yanks play 2 today, first one at 1 PM.

You don't think he'd listen on a healthy 6 year offer - one that would make him wealthy for life AND give him a shot at another big payday while still in his prime?
  16. Bellhorn04
In this case it might be the baseballs that are juiced.

It's great to see Vazquez contributing to the offense like he has been. Leon has chipped in too.

How's that work if you play more than half your games in a dome, like the Jays and the Rays?

I just noticed last night what happens if you change 3 letters in Holt's name: Brock Holt becomes Black Hole

Glad you got through it OK moon. Also glad to hear about your cat. They can be tough little buggers!
  21. Bellhorn04
He might be, but you're taking on a lot of money and presumably giving up a prospect or two as well. Not exactly an easy get.
  22. Bellhorn04
I agree with you. OTOH I fully understand how watching baseball can turn the strongest of men into a Nervous Nelly.
  23. Bellhorn04
It appears that the goal for this year was to have everyone end up with the same OPS. They just might pull it off.
  24. Bellhorn04
Workman continues to look excellent. His return has been a blessing for this team.

Quite honestly I think most people now recognize the limitations of this stat, and I don't think there are very many managers who pay attention to it. About the only thing I look at with saves is blown saves and save %.
