Replay saved us from getting screwed out of a run last night (Mookie's steal before Hanley's HR). And it wasn't an egregiously bad call. I'm just glad the rule is there.
All excited about Arrieta now, are we? If he gets a big contract he probably won't live up to it either. They usually don't. Price at least seemed like a decent bet durability-wise.
The tiny sample size I'm referring to, of course, is his 94 plate appearances for the year (89 before yesterday). Normally that would be tiny for you, but I guess if you don't like the player all that stuff goes out the window.
That's certainly true. On the other hand refusing to giving out bigger contracts limits the pool of players available to you. It's all a somewhat tricky game IMHO.
