OK that's enough about Swihart's trade value...we don't want one of harmony's posts about how little trade value he has, complete with fWAR numbers and links...
Here's a pretty good piece by Vaccaro on these new ideas for speeding up baseball:

Here's his comment on this latest one:
But the new apex (or maybe low-pex) was reached thanks to an anonymous baseball executive who texted radio host Rich Eisen the other day, suggesting a new rule that a team trailing in the ninth inning could bypass its batting order and simply send up whomever it wishes. The idea quickly went viral and rapidly caused instant widespread outrage, a trial balloon that quickly turned into the Hindenburg.
It really doesn't matter if ERod is 'overrated'. What matters is he's a 25-year old starting pitcher who has shown promise and is under control for 4 more years on a team that is going to be losing a lot of players over the next few years. He's a valuable asset.
This may have been true until last year, when you really started going off on Farrell about lineups and such, calling him a clown, idiot, criminally negligent etc. That was when I said you seemed to have morphed into Fred LOL
I have very strong doubts that Kimbrel will be in a Red Sox uniform in 2019. He'll be looking for Chapman money and he'll probably get close to it - assuming he pitches well this year.
I can't let this pass either. There's absolutely no evidence Wright laid a hand on his wife in anger, and if there was, it sure as hell wouldn't be something to joke about.
