  1. Yep, that's exactly the way I would describe it.
  2. It was freaking hilarious quite honestly. I was just pissed the f'king Yanks won the game.
  3. JBJ is really not off to a bad start with the stick. He's making good contact - only 7 K's. Where have you been BTW?
  4. Date and opposing team both need to be fixed.
  5. I thought it was hitters that improve with the weather.
  6. The fellow that started this thread is a little excitable. He's also in his 90's. Being excitable at that age is actually kind of impressive...
  7. Zimmer had the reins of what was arguably the best Red Sox team of all time, the 1978 team. In a way he was incredibly unlucky that season turned out the way it did. But he had a hand in it by burying Lee that year, among other things.
  8. A clear early contender for the most viciously sarcastic post of the year. I'm kind of glad I'm on the same side of most of these issues as you...
  9. He's turned out to have a longer and better career than I would have expected. Good for him.
  10. It was a great move. Martinez seems like a nice, quiet guy who is all about his craft as a hitter. A beautiful piece to the puzzle indeed.
  11. Hembree has been excellent so far in spite of a couple of rough outings. He has 13 K's and only 1 BB, and a .91 WHIP.
  12. You can drive yourself batty with woulda shoulda couldas. They're pointless. The way I look at is, since Henry bought the team the moves have mostly been great, and the mistakes have all been surmountable.
  13. Us stat-savvy fans are hesitant to touch 3-game samples. My guess would be he's starting to click.
  14. Acronyms are out of hand. When I first saw FTFY I didn't think it meant Fixed That For You. I thought it meant f*** That f*** You.
  15. IMO Francona's success with Cleveland has validated that he's very good.
  16. But will a 15-2 record and a 1.025 OPS completely silence the Moreland Signing critics?
  17. You're saying it would be good if Swihart has no chance to contribute?
  18. It's all good, Nick. The team's 15-2 and you've still got your whipping boy. What will you do if Holt has a couple of good games and is hitting .280 though?
  19. I see what you're doing there. What was Dombrowski thinking, huh?
  20. Ellsbury has become the new American Idle.
  21. I think he's referring to the thread someone started about run differential...I'm pretty sure I saw such a thing, at least.
  22. Good catch.
  23. Nunez didn't play any outfield for us last year either. And after his injury they'll probably avoid putting him out there if possible.
  24. Boyer is off to a wee bit of a rough start - 14 earned runs in 5 innings of work.
